the reason i don't really like it is because of the memories with the original show, cgi makes it look more… clunky and ruins the image i had before?

This show hitting yall. Nailing all the little details that made it funny especially his random fighting style. Animation is hitting. As far as the plot. It's just fine. Hopefully they can show us more of went down during the "years" after crash landing. That would be interesting.
He can't have his son getting stupid because he keeps getting hit in his head. That is all.

Unlike most of the Trigun community, I sat down and watched the original 90's Trigun for the first time, the weekend before Trigun Stampede's first episode dropped. I very much enjoyed it, it was funny and witty and even though each episode felt like filler (which I very much enjoyed, what can I say the type of filler Trigun did was actually very enjoyable!) it had little things that made you question things.

I went in completely blind so I didn't even know they were not on earth so being plopped into the world of Trigun with no explanation from the show itself, and noticing the weird animals or the two suns had me questioning and confused until it was reveal in episode 17.
Probably the biggest reveal i've experienced in awhile and it was really refreshing to experience, it was one of the things I liked about Trigun the slow reveal to the actual plot. Meaning you didn't even know the plot till episode 17, one of my favorite things the show did!
I instantly fell in love with Vash, Meryl, Miss Milly Thompson(which I'm holding out that she appears in the reboot), and Wolfwood! Everything about the anime felt refreshing from today's anime (not to say I don't like current anime, no I very much like them!)

I've thought a lot about the reboot since watching the first episode and now this one (This episode actually redoing my favorite episode from the 90's Trigun, Episode 5! Same plot and everything, the town trying to collect Vash's bounty and the Nebraska family coming in to kill Vash)
and I quite like it!

Vash still, in a way, feels like Vash! The humanoid typhoon! the 60 BILLION DOUBLE DOLLAR MAN (why'd they change it only to 6 Millon 😭) Yes, my pathetic man is still pathetic, whom I love! His humor and exaggerations have sadly changed. Yes, he is still the drama queen he was in the original (episode 1 with him crying for ammo) but not so often as 90's Vash was. Where every episode Vash was doing these crazy facial expressions and yelling about his donuts being crushed for the 10th time or yelling why did everyone have to be so mean to him! Though people have to understand you can only do so much with CGI but not only that , this is a different era. Trigun was made and written in the 90s and era the of anime humor that was unique to its time! We see this with early 2000s anime (the humor being fanservice) and now with modern day anime humor! Trigun Stampede is a reboot and has to keep up with the times!

Which brings me into the next big controversy old Trigun fans seem to have, introducing the plot too early. In the original 90's anime we don't get the plot and they don't even mention Knives or Rem till episode 17! And in my pervious paragraphs I said that was one of my favorite things that Trigun did! Though, Trigun Stampede in the first 2 minutes shows you everything and by the end of the episode the big reveal that Knives was behind it all! At first I was upset, my favorite part of the show was just plopped into the lap of new viewers without any build up!

And as I got more upset, I got upset about the little things, how there was no buildup of Vash ('He destroys every town he goes to, he kills women and children in cold blood!') to have a reveal the man was a pacifist who cried more than he fought. But as my anger simmered and I heard more Trigun fans complain, I sought out new viewers to the franchise, ones whose only seen Trigun Stampede. They absolutely loved it. As I was saying before this is a REBOOT! It has to adapt to the times it's being created in, so of course they weren't going to wait 17 episodes to reveal the plot, they would loose viewership as the world has changed since the 90s. You keep people entertained by establishing something interesting in the first episode. A mystery. Sadly the mystery of why Vash has 60 Billion dollars on his head wouldn't cut it for today's society. What would, is a mysterious twin brother who is crazy (silly little Knives).

There is a lot of things I can say, but Trigun Stampede is good. It's an anime for it's time and it won't be like the 90's, people just have to accept that. I do enjoy it, it's fun seeing it a new style and a new way of the story being presented! Though after seeing both, personally I do prefer the slow build up of the plot and the filler episodes of the 90's Trigun, though that's just who I am, I like the slow episodes, the meaningless episodes because they are fun to me (plus nothing beats Johnny Young Bosch's voice!)

My only complaint in the show so far would have to be Meryl Stryfe……I'm sorry- I know I just went on a rant on how people have to accept that it's a different time therefore the character's have to change too. Namely Vash, how he's more timid and struggling a lot with his brother and how he's really sad he can't connect with people and it shows in his interactions and smiles rather than 90's Vash who seems perfectly fine and dandy till Wolfwood comes along and is that counterpart that calls out Vash (i guess in this that role seems to be falling on Roberto). BUT- MEryl STRYFE!!!!!!

Listen, I loved Meryl a lot in the original, she was this mature woman who was sent out by her company (the burnadelli insurance company) to find Vash the Stampede and make sure he doesn't destroy any more cities and report back what happens, alongside with her airheaded partner Miss Milly Thompson. B..But in this she's a reporter who's a rookie, and who looks like she's 16, falling for Vash's compliments and not a tsundere! I was crushed! Where was my hot headed, mature lady, who couldn't believe that Vash was infact Vash the Stampede legendary outlaw!!Anyways I think that's the only thing I was really crushed about in the reboot!

Have a good day everyone, didn't mean for this to be this long!!
