I need a game
My boyfriend and I binged all 3 seasons (he hadn’t seen the third, we got up to speed together tonight after watching the other seasons last week)
He caught me with tears of liquid pride in season 1, there was a bit less to be amazed by and more to criticize in season 2, the plot got rather predictable but was still full of surprises..
With season 3… we were in constant denial that this took as long as it should. I also felt like Dread’s arc was heavily unresolved, I was practically yelling at the screen: “WHERE IS BUNNY BONES???” Everything felt so incomplete in exchange for the largest waste of episode slots ever.
Don’t think we didn’t complain about the chaos emeralds though…
Edit: with the third season, all these ex-machinas of people saving each other at the last minute, the constant cutaways to Nine powering up, honestly there’s barely any good I remember from it. We could have gone a much better route than all the Grim Sonics, Rouges, Roses, Knuckles, and those extremely aggravating Grim Birdies with practically only 2 unique noise sound effects. I was really hoping that Sonic would’ve taken advantage of Grim Alpha Birdie’s broken eye cameras not working on one side, anything that gave us a sign the writers remembered to properly finish what they set up

The season has 7 episodes, instead of 8, which makes me feel like they had to cut back on the ending [sadly], probably due to company/netflix bs.

Was when the 2 tails presumably died, the gang was sad for like a minute, and then it was all back to normal. I also felt like they could have done more with that one guy who tried to convince pirate knuckles to steal the prism
Damn. I hated season 3 so much… I genuinely thought season 1 was fine and then season 2 was good and then season 3 was so bad it makes sonic x's english dub of the metarex arc good.
Honestly I thought sonic was gonna go full prismatic now that nine had all the shards. Still a cool season.
Grim sonic
The third season was pretty good in my opinion.
Although the battle did feel dragged on, I wished the ending was better tied together.
Sonic's friend's reactions to Sonic's story, where Shadow hid the prism, how the alternate friends got home maybe, or a closer look at eggman's bot at the very end of the episode.
If there is another Sonic prime season it's going to be with all the characters in the Shaderverse

I do agree that the fight dragged a bit too long, BUT THE ANIMATION WAS GOOD AND WORKED PERFECTLY FOR THE FIGHT!!

It was… fine. I couldn't get behind the lack of stakes or consequences. "Nine needs Sonic's power to stabilize his power." Ok, but why? Besides a few connection issues here and there he has pretty godlike power.
"Nine keeps drawing power from the prism and poses like he's getting migraines, exhaustion and even heart attacks so maybe he can only draw on the power for so long" nope! He can just keep doing it forever with no drawbacks besides slight panting.
"Whenever Nine pulls more power from the prism we get a close up of it. Maybe there's a limit to how much power can be used before the prism falls apart or something?" Nope! It's just for false drama. Nine can pull power infinitely.
"Only a handful of fighters against a seemingly infinite army of robots, one of which sonic and shadow had to team up to beat. This will be a hard fight!" Nope! Nine only has 25 robots on the battle field at a time that any of the heroes can 1v1 effortlessly. Even non-combatants like jungle knuckles can 0 dif them.
"We only have so much time before the shatterspace collapses on itself! The good guys are fighting 9 and the clock!" Nope! We see the dome shrink and cracks in the sky, but even when Nine actively accelerates the decay of the shatterverse it means nothing besides an earthquake or 2.
I could go on but that's more than enough it was just a drag, but a pretty, well-animated drag
Hated the ending just like sonic the hedgehog 2006 nothing happened why did they have to go back when sonic broke the gem but the action was amazing
I dont mimd long battles. Ive seen anime soo they always stretch those battles 😅

Season 3 did drag the battle for a long time but from my perspective, in the Archie comics, battles, wars and fights are very common in the Sonic Universe and a lot of arch’s were just as long as Season 3 or even the video games.

I like to think that large shadow at end cliff hanger was the chaos council’s ship just to show that the other shatter spaces still exist sorta

The show was mid but some of the fight scenes went brazy, the shadow and sonic fighting scenes carried season 3 too
The season 3 finale was boring I thought the shatterverse would merge with green hills to save it witch every character in shatter spaces now living I. Green hills like if you agree with my opinion on how season three should have ended or the finale should end
