I didn't watch the original but I really liked Stampede. I just really liked the idea of a pacifist gunman and Vash switches from being hilarious and silly to being so serious, I just liked him a lot.

Great reaction, guys!!🔥 This iteration of Trigun is standing alone just like the '98 adaptation, neither are 1:1 adaptation of the original manga Trigun & Trigun Maximum, BUT! Each version has its perks—this one definitely has many! You can really look forward to this new version of Trigun because unlike '98 where the manga wasn't even halfway done, resulting in the adaptation having tons of filler and characters having quite… butchered personalities in my opinion (simply put, they were different from their canon selves. Example: for some stupid reason '98 Vash was made into a sleazy skirt chaser when he has never been one. Probably because of the popularity of this gag at that time. Eugh.), Trigun Stampede PULLS DIRECTLY from the original manga that is FINISHED! That means not only introducing the actual original story that's WAY more complicated than '98 ever delved into, although here it's ofc remixed with some changes and tastefully and excitingly scrambled timeline, but also they stick more with the original personalities (it's closer, not entirely same, but it has a very important reason that I don't wanna spoil yet), the characters that never made it into '98 because they weren't introduced yet in the manga are here, and the dark body horror aspect is also included! I'm so happy with how Orange was able to keep the core themes while making it different. It's a true love letter to the original manga and I'm super excited for rhe next season. AND for your guys' next Trigun Stampede reaction!!! I hope you'll continue this.

trigun stampede is one of my favorite series’ ever, i’m so excited to hear your thoughts!! imo the 90s one is great for character moments and humor but a lot of it does not follow the manga or original story at all because the manga was not finished when they made it, so i’m glad stampede is more plot-centric!

what a pleasant surprise! first skip and loafer wins a poll, now tristamp?? honestly this series really got me, Orange did a fantastic job with the 3D that only keeps getting better. the first couple episodes are the weakest I think, but they're still fun as hell.
I read the manga and watched the 98 show, all 3 are quite different. and yeah, the anime barely has the brother in it, compared to the other two, which made me a bit sad, their dynamic is super interesting. I can't think of all that many stories where the protagonist and antagonist are twins, immediately adds to the drama ahaha
