This story has changed my life for the better.
What makes this even better is that Askeladd is a true king of England, descended from the Mighty Romans.
Askeladd putting up a fight to Thors but losing rather one sidedly really shows how good Thors was. Thors who had Thorkell beat in one swing.
Askeladd only struggled vs Thorkell's men, where it was 500 on 1, and essentially let himself get killed by Canute after slaughtering what I'm thinking is probably a dozen Jomsvikings by himself and almost killing Flokki, and couldn't land any strikes on Thors before having his blade taken away and put at his throat.
Amazing anime and even better character development! I can’t wait for the 3rd season.

When first time see this didnt thought how strong thors he is who make ashkelad can do nothing just defend, and after finish the season and see how monster ashkelad really is, and back to this scene make me realize thors is not human defeat ashkelad with no diff.
Ashkelad is monster come to battle but thors no diff him, ashkelad specialist strategic intelligent but thors outsmart him. Lol literaly thors is a god in human body😂

If bjorn didnt catch thorfin, askeladd wouldve tried to make friends with thors bc he was looking for a leader and he saw thors as a good leader
Just realized Thorfinn's and Askeladd's last duel parallels with another later in the story (IYKYK).

This anime had so much potential. Thorfinn’s arc is 100% too short.
Its so interesting seeing Askeladd again after knowing his backstory with his own father and revenge.
