I hate it when anime adaptation is just, a copy of the game, like what would people who played the game is going to get? Same story Same plot. Kinda a let down,

It's so so so satisfying when an animation aligns perfectly with another form of media, no matter which is the source 👌💯

i think theres slight changes that the anime made that make the dynamic just a little bit different from what I can see. Right now, 2B anime version feels a lot less cold than game 2B, and 9s just a slight bit cockier in the anime as well. Sometimes its as little as a voiceline, facial expression, or slight difference in body language that the anime presents that does it. I'm super excited for the rest of the anime, but as adaptations usually go, I can't help but notice these little differences lol.
I also think the game knew which aspects of its animation to kind of blur over, for eg the scene where 2B gets in her mech to defeat the goliath. I think the anime's CG is only noticeably so bad because it chose to show, in clear picture, 2B in the mech, where the anime doesn't really do that.
All this picking apart aside, I'm still incredibly excited to see the rest!

When everyone said Nier had a original story line I always said it story is stereotypical of a anime we come full circle
