Experts from the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (France) and Tribeca Film Festival (U.S.), discuss the world of short films, the DXing of film festivals, and the potential for future filmmaking with new technologies, including generative A.I.
This two-part seminar will feature Sharon Badal, who has headed the short film program at the Tribeca Film Festival (USA) for over 20 years, and Tim Redford, co-director of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (France), which is said to be the largest short film festival in the world. In the first part of the seminar, Ms. Badal and Mr. Redford will discuss the characteristics of short films that are sought by the festivals, the uniqueness of the festival, and Mr. Redford will also talk about the online submission platform, shortfilmdepot, and the possibilities that DX offers. In the second part, Sharon Badal, who also teaches screenwriting, will talk about how the future of the film industry could be affected by filmmakers drafting screenplay ideas with generative AI. This event is a must-see for all future filmmakers!

トライベッカ映画祭（米国）で、過去20年以上にわたり、短編部門を統括してきたシャロン・バダル氏と、世界最大規模と言われるクレルモンフェラン国際短編映画祭(仏)の共同ディレクター、ティム・レッドフォード氏を招く、二部構成のセミナーとなります。第一部では、両氏を招き、映画祭で求められる作品の特徴、映画祭の独自性、またレッドフォード氏も運営に関わる独自のオンライン公募システム、shortfilmdepotについて、DXがもたらす可能性についてもお話頂きます。
第二部は、映画制作者が生成AIで脚本のアイデアを下書きするなど、未来の映像業界にどのような影響を及ばす可能性があるかなどについて、脚本の教鞭もとるシャロン・バダル氏にトーク頂きます。
