Can you lock on to the Monsters ? All the game play see with the focus mode seems like locking on to a monster is not possible anymore 😅
Weapons having skills sounds like a great way to make more weapons stand out than usual. Or it could still just super power certain specific weapons by giving them damage skills? But aince you can slot those skills in or get them via armor skills, it might not matter, so yeah, good change.
So we get underwater travel, but not underwater combat. Guess this is just their way of…testing the waters.
the food is made to suit the conditions
For an insanely complex game, I think the potions, warning signals for a KO move, and countdown timer for statuses will make hunters more efficient, if anything, and get even more refined in their skillset. Who wouldn't want better co-hunters? I'm sure some of these features can be disabled for those who get distracted by the feature after a few hundred hours, but I think they are great and subtle additions.

are the slinger burst shortcut to tcs also back?
I wish they would change the three faint rule when playing with groups of people! I think they should change it to three faints per person and then they’re kicked from the hunt while the rest of the hunters remain. I don’t like getting reprimanded for bad players it’s one of the main reasons why I like playing alone.
a running theme with wilds that maybe some hard core players don't like but personally I love is the player commitment choice. From being able to dodge out of a combo at the end of a swing instead of full commiting, or the sharpening mechanic working over time instead of one long animation. It frankly makes the game more accessible, gives you more options and lets you choose when and how to engage a monster without having the crazy speed of Rise. I love it and am very excited for the full game next year
bringing 2 types of elements of the same weapon would be nice if the monster change elements weakness mid fight
Did anyone find the small bug monster from the first Livestream? Is it a small Minster, or Endemic Life? What is it called?
Electric elementals aren't neccessarily immune to paralyse, at least if it is like World. Kirin was immune to Electric/Paralyse, but others like Namielle / Zinogre was still able to be paralysed.
Either way, thanks for this Hollow, kinda REALLY jealous of you for playing though Q.Q
New map is cool but I will miss the journal-in-the-hand from World.

To add onto the Balahara black pearl thing, their mouths look like mollusks and as well it appears they have smaller eyes on the outer rim of their eyes like mollusks, so they’re likely a species mixture of serpent, and mollusk

I used to hate having to run back to camp because a monster is immune/strong against my dual blade element type.

I wonder how easy it is to get specific skills…. When I'm running eg Lance and LBH I need completely different skills to function properly. But I have only one armor set
As a few people have pointed put, balahara has scallop eyes so the black pearl does make sense.
Two weapons vs Alatreon like monster will be awesome and I would almost guarantee will see something like that requiring us to carry two elements or an elemental and raw weapon.
if they have swimming maybe the mr expansion will add combat to swimming although I'm probably getting ahead of myself

They should’ve added something similar to the nemesis system in Shadow of Mordor. Like if you fail to hunt a monster or something of that nature, it’s possible it can remember you & hunt you in return with added buffs or behavioral changes. That can also mean rewards are doubled based on the monster’s response…
If gathering is like World in the sense that you get cool digging/mining animations including the epic one when you dig up a rare item, I don't mind. Sometimes making everything instant actually takes some of the fun out of it. It's enough of a QoL that we don't need to worry about pickaxes anymore.
The fact that Rise didn't seem to care about anything else except ushering you towards the monsters is part of why it's my least liked of the series. It's actually less immersive than the pre-World games where preparation and gathering materials were simply part of what made the games unique.
I almost wish they'd bring back Hot Drinks and Cold Drinks just to spite the Rise fans who think that getting rid of all the environmental interactions and turning Monster Hunter into a one on one arena fighter would be better just as long as the hunters and monsters get more moves to use against each other.
Using 2 weapons of the same type might be useful against monsters that change weaknesses with different modes, like barroth with/without mud
I wonder if well be able to fight variations of monsters that when normally wouldn't cause of lore

I like that that some ammo and coating capacities have been removed. Something I always bugged me about bowguns is the flow change when you run out of ammo. You super focused and all the sudden, out of ammo.
You have to then either swap to a different ammo, or pause the fight and make more ammo. (or quick craft some.)
you then get back into the fight.
Now we can just stay in the fight. I wonder if level 3 will still be locked down to crafting. I'm okay with that since I almost always prefer lvl2.(because of capacity)
Anyone know if shrapnel will be back in wilds?
I think the dev stream said that weapon skills are only active when that weapon is equipped
