If I was ever on the fence about this new series, I'm safe to say that I'm prepared to watch it all the way through for 2 reasons.
1. The original series could have its "dark" and serious moments, but with this one, it looks they won't have to hold back!
2. Johnny Yong Bosch back again to voice Vash for the dub!
I've been pretty satisfied with how they've handled Vash's characterization, stayed pretty consistent so far. I think it's great that we have advances in animation technology to perhaps do better justice for Trigun's action (it's been pretty slick so far). And I think the scale and imagery they're going for is quite unique. (Definitely sells you when they use it to show off Knives' powers; even how he got the name 'Millions Knives'). I do miss how the original had more "Western" vibes while this one seems to lean more on the "desert dystopia"/Fallout vibes. Maybe we'll see more of it come into being in later episodes? For now though, I can appreciate that this is simply a different take on the mythos.
I heard Knives here has more in common with his Comic version than the 1998 anime version.
iirc The original anime never adapted past 4 volumes out of 17.

Yeah the Doctor (William) and the Girl(Elendira) are manga only characters. Tho Elendira has the biggest design change I’ve seen so far. Atleast it seems we will get the Gung ho Guns the OG anime didnt get. Can’t wait to see how they handle them
The way they introduced the gung ho guns and knives in this episode was actually pretty cool 😎 and that knives reveal 😳 bruh they aren't holding back for this one
In the original anime E.G bomber was called E.G. Mine from the start…but I guess it's technically the same thing 😂
I have no idea why the subtitles call one of the cities "JuLai", when even on the map it says "July".
