Seems like Snake is gonna be the Askeladd of the season…cool and tough….fox deserved that punch as should badger, but man that masters son is such a whinner and acting like a spoiled kid at 17!

Love this season so far. Vinland Saga really is an underrated masterpiece.
You gotta stop waiting for some epic big action setpieces. Having read the manga, if they happen at all, it will not be here at the beginning of this current part of the story. An episode that delves into the characters is not 'slow' imo but it enriches the way the characters are developed. Vinland Saga is not an action show. It's a grown-up story that focuses on various aspects of Viking society, including farming and slavery. We're at that part right here: Thorfinn, Einar and Arnheid are slaves and we are shown what the implications of that are. That's way more intriguing than just another generic Viking show about people raiding and pillaging that just leaves all these other interesting elements aside just for the sake of action spectacle.
These guys are bodyguards for the farm. Theyre not the same crew that brought them lunch in ep 2.
I really love how Yukimura is taking the time to establish characters and their dynamics on Ketils Farm.
Another great episode of Vinland Saga! Yeah hopefully Thorfinn does think back to his family though they were really nice lol
Thofinn really be going through it. I think Thorfinn hates himself for everything he has done and is suffering depression as well. His mind is haunted by those he's killed and left behind. I think Thorfinn believes he shouldn't be alive . He's suffered so much in silence and now we're getting more of a glimpse of all the trauma he's been through. But that's just what I think. 🤷♂️
I think Thorfinn feels he can never get out of the misery and pain he feels. That in a way, he welcomes death on to himself. I think he might believe he deserves that pain inflicted on to him . That might be why he just takes it and dose nothing to stop the physical harm being inflicted on to him.
