All will be answered in time, I'm sure that certain points from the OG will still be included in this reboot. The great thing is that I love the difference in the reboot here of introducing Knives so early and showing just how evil and bad he is compared to the OG Anime.
Don't forget he is not Human. You literally saw the spaceship in episode 1 Man.

Trigun actually started out as a Shonen.
Though it's sequel manga got published on a Seinen magazine.
Though I don't think the level of violence really matters when classifying something as Shonen and Seinen, considering Attack on Titan and Chainsaw Man are shonen.
Knives is absolutely terrifying. I still like his manga powers better. His "Angel Blades" are things of terrifying power and beauty. But don't get me wrong, what we saw him do to Jeneora Rock is also really scary, impressive and cool.
As soon as this series is over I'm re-reading the manga. It's been a while because it really puts me through the emotional wringer.
Fun Fact:
This is the first of role Knives V.A (Junya Ikeda) as a villain.
He was quite known in the tokusatsu Community as Gokai Silver of Gokaiger And Flame Knight ZEN in Garo. He also voiced Jou in Digimon Tri
To think that he was able to pull it off on the first try no less.
Wolfwood is same VA as Reiner from AOT. This VA is always in great shows and play popular or cool characters.
Not a spoiler, and I don't know if it's the same in this series, but the arms of the cross do hold ammunition in the manga.
Wolfwood is easily my favorite character! Can't wait to see where they go with him!
