Canute's father said some pretty interesting things about the power of the crown & its will, listening to Sverkel talking about his son's wealth and how keeps expanding the farm draws some interesting parallel with Canute's vision.
It will be a few centuries before corn is brought from The Americas 😅
cute makeup😘😘
"A true warrior does not need a sword". Still applies here.
happy valentines day teddy
(my valentine must have gotten lost in the mail 🤣)
I like how the show isn't non-stop slapstick, fan service and screaming like most anime.
Watch bocchi the rock
15:56 YES exactly!! He's living a peaceful enough life that he can progress forward as a human. Learning new things, realizing he has friends, how to interact with people. He was so driven by revenge that fighting was all he knew. I'm sure his dad is glad he's slowly settling in since he never wanted Thorfinn to fight. Great character development and I feel bad for people who find these episodes boring 🫡
16:08 , you when we 😳😏
15:30 that serious look exchange, and the way he says got me wheezing 😭
16:50 we need a teddy farmland arc now.
Thorfinn's true personality is finally coming out. He's like a little kid barely discovering the world, emotionally stunted but feeling secure enough to explore. He's asking questions and becoming more active. Einar's a miracle worker y'all.
I like the arc and was actually a bit peeved when we got the Canute ep. Glad it was only one ep though
So last episode started at the same time as the thorfinn snake situation, so when it time jumps to canute being crowned king, the next time we see thorfinn in this episode it has also time jumped to that time period
That's my girl. Makeup is looking good on you bae 😊 ❤️ 😳 😚
5:48 sauce?
Did you notice that Thorfinn is learning some manners now, he says "good morning" and "welcome" in any scene 🤣
I fk love this season
You know, I hadn't thought about the roots thing being related to something deeper, but it kind of makes sense if you think about the tree related imagery that was used when Thorfinn was talking about his childhood and the amount of people he's killed. If you want to apply a double meaning to it like that, perhaps you could see that as the story saying that Thorfinn's guilt and trauma are still deep deep in there, and we'll have to settle for working on some surface level stuff for him and come back for his real issues later.
those people who says vinland fell off are the people who says tokyo revengers is god tier bunch of idiots
Lol if people are complaining about Vinland Saga then they've been watching the wrong show this whole time. It was never about the action
@5:45 What's the sauce , asking for a friend's research purposes 👨🦯
They didn't have corn at that time. Corn, or maize, comes from the Americas. Along with a bunch of other stuff we find normal today. A lot of these seeds and foods were spread to the world by European traders beginning in the 16th century.
And rye and barley were more common than wheat.
Vinland Saga is more than a viking revenge story is a story about redemption, life and finding your purpuse in still living.
time to make our own Vinland from scratch
I absolutely love this arc
I see the entire farm Thorfinn and Einar are making as a visual representation for what's happening inside of Thorfinn's heart and mind.
In an earlier episode, we got a quick visual comparison to the trees as the people that Thorfinn has killed, so their clearing the trees on the farm represents Thorfinn finally able to heal and pull out the roots that are snaring him, and tilling the fields and planting new seeds are the tiny first buds of proper healing and growth in Thorfinn's broken life. But here, the deep-seated roots are still there, so they have to do a shallow planting this year. His healing has started, but that soul cleansing hasn't reached far down enough yet, he needs more time, more growth before he gets to see his bountiful harvest.
But also, Thorfinn can't farm alone, he needs Einar's knowledge, the horse's strength, Pater's empathy, and the old master's compassion to till the land and make the earth fertile enough for the new seeds to grow. He needs Einar and Sverkel to give him the tools he needs to sow or to wake him from his nightmares. No man is a mountain, healing is born from love, and Einar's friendship is the last ingredient for Thorfinn to let go of his past and have true change begin taking shape within him.
"I saw him in the hentai" – understandable, have a nice day)
5:46 and how do you know that? hmmmm
I would have loved if they added that in the manga Thorfinn blushes when Einar "bothers him"
