This episode was pretty tough and really questioned a person’s morality and what is truly wrong or right in a particular situation. We had some children stealing food in order to survive and then them getting punished. And we got to see both sides via Ketil, Snake, Thorgil and the rest. We really got to see what kind of people they are and their own thoughts and ideals. But those poor kids. Hope you enjoy!

Thing, THING
The Old Nordic word "thing" meant an assembly of clans and tribes to make political decisions, air of grievances and disputes, and even elect kings. The term is actually the root of the English word "thing," which eventually encompassed not just the original meaning of "assembly," but the general definition of any object. Interestingly, this linguistic shift from "assembly/ meeting" to "object/thing' can be seen in words from a great variety of European languages, whether the root was Nordic or Latin.
Thorgil is HIM.
The thing (ting in Old Norse, Ding in German) means "meeting", and it was an assembly of all free men, a kind of proto-parliament of the Germanic peoples that also worked as a court and as a religious council. In some places, like in Iceland, women were allowed to participate, but they were not entitled to make any decision. Today, the parliament is named Althing ("general meeting") in Iceland and It is named Folkting ("people's meeting") in Denmark. It is also the source of the English word "thing".

Arnheid is basically forced to "comfort" Ketil in numerous ways. The reason she's different is because she's essentially holding back her emotions to do the deed

I think you missed the part where Ketil admitted to Aernheid that the "Iron Fist" was something he made up.
Thorfinn is changing but I'd say he is an anomaly. Yea Snake is sympathetic but alone from this episode Snake is no stranger to brutality.
And considering Arnheidt is Ketils "personal attendant" which I presume just means personal sex slave I am now really concerned about her.
That still isn't Thorfinn's worst dream by the way. But that's exciting to know they haven't shown it yet. Also look out for the "porkchop" scene in the future. Arnheid and Ketil's relationship is slave and master nothing more.

This episode alone shows what a weak and cowardly person Ketil is 😞
He cannot be compared to Thors. They are not at all alike, Ketil has never been a warrior.
This may have been the first comedy scene with Thorfinn since S1 episode 1😃. Shure is a respectable young boy, the beating is the right punishment and they have jobs waiting for them.
Oooooooooh girl theres is def a lot of tea regarding Arnheid lol don’t worry tho the tea will spill soon enough! All I can say is your never going to guess whats going to happen! As for thorfinn yeah it’s so nice seeing this side of him especially cuz old him would have instantly said “THIS IS STUPID” if someone tried showing and explaining how farming works. Also as others have mentioned regarding Ketil yeah he’s actually not the real “Iron Fists” he was confessing it while on Arnheids lap. It’s a plot point that gets covered more than once so it’s not really a big deal that you missed it in this episode so don’t worry!
If you think about it, ketil is like a grown up olmar if olmar actually went to war because he would hate it, he lowkey hates violence and isnt fit for war.
Einar is really a perfect friend. He is positive and energetic. He always has a positive outlook on life. I wish I could have a friend like him

Back then, people didn't get married for love, they married for status. That is why Ketil felt more comfortable with a slave than with his actual wife. His wife probably doesn't like Ketil, either, or already knows he's not like his son Thorgil.
