Rei’s About to 💀 His Dad for That…BRUH! || Buddy Daddies Episode 8

Based on how the organization chose to kill that guy and his wife because he wasn't prioritizing the organization anymore, makes me wonder if Yuzuku's death really was an accident. Same dude that killed the wife in this episode shot the bullet that led to Yuzuku's death. Yuzuku could've been the target all along and getting that guy that Kazuki missed was a happy accident (especially since sniper dude was ready at the spot where Yuzuku was and they had no idea the target was gonna drive his car in that direction)

What if the only way for Rei to get his father to back off from Kazuki and Miri is by lying that they're training Miri to become an assassin when she grows up. Then next season has them giving Miri hitman lessons while trying to disguise what they're actually doing to try and preserve as much of her innocence as possible. Or they could do the trope where the dad has Miri kidnapped but she ends up softening his crusty old assassin heart and he gives Rei a pass. Things probably won't go that smooth, but it's fun to speculate.

I loved this episode, it was dark in just the right way. Like in this episode we did find out that Rei’s dad was the boss of their origination. And very much still around, as he wanted his son to come home again. To continue the family legacy, as that is Rei’s only propose to his father. Then he get one mission to haunt down a traitor to the family, which is his old mentor. We got to learn more about that scary dude, as he sure was a interesting fellow as you say. Especially how he collects last words, like they where playing cards or stamps. Also seeing what the origination did to the target lover. Was so gruesome, especially that graphic photo that they take. And how that dude took her last words. So even if Rei failed to save his old mentor it was good that he didn’t tell the other person his last words as requested of him. Then soon after my favorite screen did happened, which was Miri signing happy birthday while being so sleepy as she was so cute doing that😍 also when speaking about Miri it was so sad to hear that she could tell. Complexed emotions based on how her mom used to act, and saying that Rei was the same. But that scene at the end really makes me worried that this wholesome family may soon end

After the ending of this episode it opens up some very interesting perspectives here.
First off, you have all three characters, each with their very own tragic backstory, and
each trying to find a way to cope with the tragedy that kept on growing and festering, until someday it will
either get then some form of salvation or some form of ironic to anti-climatic death.

As we continue to watch the series, we find that once they take a step forward, they then can take another step,
and then another, and then another, until some form of happiness or understanding can finally be achieved.
For example, let's start with Kazuki. Hired assassin, married to a pregnant wife, but unfortunately was killed in a tragic accident,
due to a job that went unexpectedly out of control. Felt that his own wife's death was on his shoulders, not accepting that
this like this can happen without a moments notice, for 5 years. His salvation was in the form of his former sister-in-law, by
giving him reassurances that the tragedy was not his fault, and that he should move on from there.

Another example, let's take Miri. After her biological mother is unable to take care of her, she decided to find her biological father to take over instead.
However, An assassination of her father occurred, so at the end, it ended up that the would be assassins became her surrogate parents
instead.

Here is a very tough one.
You have Rei, that was being trained from the very beginning that, he's going to become an assassin, and take over the family business.
However, what didn't factor in to the plan is that, he's become a surrogate parent of a 4 year old girl, who's father was recently assassinated
by both Rei and Kazuki. Now, after being forced to assassinate his former teacher/trainer, his own father is forcing the issue of assassinating
his partner and adopted daughter.

Now that is a nightmare on its own, and what's worse is that its going to be carried out by possible on of his father's associate assassin,
who has a very disturbing demeanor already, by recording the victim's "last words" before being assassinated. So it places Rei in a situation
to either perform the following:

1 – Kill the assassin, and go into hiding, leaving your partner and child behind
2 – Kill everyone (including himself)
3 – Kill his partner and child, and take over the family business (or at least allow them to escape)
4 – Run away with everyone, and disappear off the face of the earth, leaving no trails

Really looking forward to what is going to happen next, considering that the fate is in the hands of their boss informant, Kugi.

Pretty sure Buddy Daddies will have 13 episodes. Hopefully we do get a season 2 though.

Rei's papa certainly isn't earning himself any medals for father of the year in the near future that is for sure. 😠😠😠While I would not whish anything bad to happen to Miri, a part of me wants it to (to a non-life threatening level mind you) happen to just to see Rei enter full Papa MODE 😍😍😍and give his "father" the comeuppance he deserved and needed a looong time ago.

And while doing so also giving Rei the chance to break away from his "father's" manipulation and control.👏👏👏

Buddy daddies really doesnt miss, i feel next week we gonna go into Miri's backstory a bit more and see what her early years with her mother was like.

I know what usually, it’s most likely that Miri will get kidnapped by Rei father to be used agains’t Rei. But what if something else happen ? What if Kazuki protects Miri and instead Kazuki is getting kidnapped as a hostage ? I mean, the picture have the two of them (Kazuki and Miri) and Rei father has clearly hinted multiple time to Rei that he would get rid of Kazuki if he is an issue, which is understandable but since Miri is a kid and there are plenty of other ways to get rid of a kid without killing or kidnapping him, I think the main victim will be Kazuki because to Rei father, he is the most dangerous of the two.

This anime has become my comfort anime since the first episode and right now I AM NOT COMFORTED AT ALL. How do they do this??? Making us happy and content one episode then horrified the other. THEY BETTER NOT TOUCH OUR FAMILY GDI

One family wants him to kill and head a ruthless organization, and the other family wants him to live well and be happy. Not much of a competition, I think!! 😅
