Vash needs to pull his head out of his ass and come to the realization there's no reasoning with his brother at this point. Man is a freaking psychopath and he has to be put down.
Well we learned how Meryl got her gun. I remember how the original Trigun, it was Millie and Meryl that ended up seeing Vash's scars, but here it's Nicolas. Sorry Nai, but I don't think Vash will be the way you want him to be even after he fell into that pool. o7 our drinking reporter.

Without spoiling too much, coming from a manga reader, fans (including me) has been predicting that Stampede is actually a pseudo-prequel to Trigun story proper due to the following plot points:
– July city/region is still alive & well.
– Vash's bounty is smaller than the start of Trigun.
– Vash still uses smaller caliber gun than the start of Trigun
– Vash's mechanical arm looks more crude than the start of Trigun.
– Meryl is still a rookie reporter.
– Roberto talked about health/life insurance to Meryl.
– Roberto gave his derringer gun to Meryl before he died.
There's a pattern here 🤔
It's honestly criminal how many people are sleeping on this, it's one of the biggest surprises of the season. Everything about this production oozes with care and passion.
I called this weeks ago in a Reddit thread! Still doesn't mean I wanted this to happen. I liked Roberto a lot. Trigun just bringing the emotions!

I'm very very sad that Roberto bit the bullet. Literally he had a damn needle the size of a screwdriver in him. The way he went out, I was not expecting whatsoever at least not this episode but I always felt there's like a small death flag above his head. And it was to develop Meryl as a character. I'm now wondering especially with Wolfwood's words over her as she was heading back to where Vash and that demonic girl was who btw… Epic preformance by her VA. Everyone's VA stood out a lot in this episode but her VA and the VA of the scientist guy were awesome.
As much as someone could hate the 3D, you can't deny that this show has some amazing OSTs and even the 3D it's 3D done right unlike other shows where it just looks jarring, i.e Berserk or something like Tesla Note. There are thousand times worse CGI than this. And Studio Orange is hitting it out of the park with each episode.
I'm still sad about Roberto. He was always just a chill guy who was there to be a great supporting character and a teacher to Merly and he was right in the end. Her being so nosy got him killed and now she probably regrets not listening to him.
Vash confronting his brother while Woofwood gets a parchment that he's dismissed or something. I'm not angry at him for tricking Vash into coming here as it was his job and he never truly "stabbed him the back but it's hard not to feel sorry for Vash with all the times people have called him a monster and all sort of terrible names for things he did not do or had no intention of doing.
The amount of scars he has from his travels and dangers he faced, you'd think how is he not dead yet.
I'm invested more than ever in this show and there was also a leak that this could be 24 episodes. I don't know if it's back to back to split cour or if it's just rumours but I want to think that we will be getting that second part/season sooner or later.
Again, I'm hoping by the time that next part comes out there's more buzz around this show because it deserves it. Unlike Tokyo Revengers where I'm just bamboozled to what is going on there and how it's not getting nearly as much discussion, this honestly has more of a chance to get a whole lot more discussions especially since it is streaming on Crunchyroll.

Nostalgia is dissuading people from watching it. I noticed how Elendira complaining about pain and getting shot reminds me of a clip of Vash shooting Knives in the original. Knives is a great character. Bald scientists who are evil or grey is a staple trope lol. I have heard how this is somewhat of a prequel that results in Vash getting a crazy high bounty since the original mentions an incident in the city of July which is where they currently are. It would be interesting to see Vash change and transform to how he looks in the original Trigun lol. It’s also interesting how we see his scars here and Wolfwood comments how Vash must be foolish trying to be a pacifist which results in him getting scarred like that. I have seen a clip from the original where some other characters notice the scars but it’s more of a gag or for comedic effect although he’s also embarrassed here. I’m honestly kind of glad I didn’t watch the original before this so it’s fresh to me although I think I would definitely not try to compare the series as intended. This series feels like the author thought harder and longer about his series and how to make it better flow and come together and keep a consistent tone that is dark like his manga presumably. Roberto was interesting although probably not the favourite for sure. Honestly considering how he is supposed to replace a favourite character from the original, it’s better he’s used since the favourite likely would have been killed in this episode here which could anger more people lol

Roberto's character was a nice foil for the rest of the characters. It honestly reminds me of the original Wolfwood character from the original Anime and Manga.
Basically someone who has seen a lot and is totally over it. Drinks and smokes too much to numb themselves. But smart enough to figure out what was really going on.
It is too bad they killed him. But I agree where would they have taken his character in the future?
This way he is used to force Myerl to grow up a bit. She ended up with his gun too. So now she finally has her weapon.
I hope they make another season of this show. Because I'm sure it will be more fleshed out and darker than the first.
