I had mixed feelings as well and we talked about this in the discord then I remembered that Kyo-chan was the one who contacted the Mom and told her where Miri is and at that point if she really doesn't want Miri she could have hung up but instead she came so for me I'm with Team mom here.
How do you guys feel about the moms redemption?
Kazuki and Rei are the real family. No strings attached just love and you can feel Kazuki's heart being ripped out during this episode T.T
tipical parent being an asshole and suddenly, when facing death, decide to try to make up for all their shitty behavior. You don't get to abandon your child and then coming back a year later like nothing happened, you already made your choice of not being a parent a year ago. I only agree with their choice because Miri was being targeted by assassins, but in normal circumstances I would show that woman the door.

i want to like the mother, i really do but to come back after almost an entire year and only because miri is the only thing she has left and she's dying… and now miri is gonna have front row seats to the horrors of cancer! Any other cirumstance I would've kicked her out to the streets… but if kazuki and rei are gonna take on the organisation realistically they need miri out of the picture and safe😭😭 i just wonder how this is gonna end😭

Ok, I get her point. She wants to spend her final time with her daughter and she knows they´re having a "high risk job". I belive her intentions are good.
But yeah, what happens to Miri when she dies? How much time has she left? A year? Maybe 3? Miri will be in elementary school (or still in kindergarden) when her only known, non dead, family member also dies, not to speak of her health will get worse over time and she won´t be able to take care of Miri.
Orphanage time then? Miri getting adopted by a Spy and another assassin?
I feel like she didn´t thought that through beyond step 1.
Anyone thinks that the mom’s cancer and coming back to take Miri again is WAY too convenient???
