So yes this did happen in the right order, kinda. Last ep, the animators flipped the order of Thorfinn and Einar getting the news they'll be free soon (ch73) with Canute arriving in Jelling to see Harald (ch72). Then THAT GUY does his thing (ch74), I CANNOT WAIT. And ch75 and 76 was this ep.
That scene with Olmar gave me such 2nd hand embarrassment that it physically hurts.
The episode came a day earlier or it's me who's out of touch with reality WTF 😂😂😂😂 , going to watch the ep right now , even tho I haven't seen it or your reaction I'm sure it's a great ep with a great reaction
For those who are interested in reading along with the manga, this episode adapted the entirety of chapters 75-76 (the last five pages of chapter 73 and all of chapter 74 appear to be getting rearranged in when/where the anime will adapt them).
Wulf, the Captain of the Guard (also known by the Norse term “Head Thegn” in the manga) that Canute spars with, is likely based on the real-life Ulf Thorgilsson, commonly known as Ulf Jarl. Who in real-life ended up becoming Canute’s brother-in-law by way of marriage to Canute’s sister Estrid (who we see at the beginning of this episode as well).
Estrid is a cute loving sister to both Harald and Canute….hope she makes it
Man Olmar may sport a cool hairdo…..but he still cant use a sword to save his life…..even to cut a pig
I have a bad feeling for both the Master and his sons….with King Canute and hus ambitions, may cost OG Thorfinn and Einar thier hard earned freedom…also Leif Ericson is back with a Thorfinn lookalike son!
