Jeff calling devin booker a hall of famer? Yeah someone check what he was drinking
Disgusting behaviour by Luka . And he has done that many times in the past .
Van Gundy be real the Refs saw Luka's money gesture. And he did it more than once. Don't let him off the hook.
😊
Ref should have said: sorry, we should have ejected Luka …🤌🏼💰
Timberwolves easily coming out the first round 🐺 🐜🦁 💪 as a Twolves fan, that's all we ask we aren't greedy 😅
Please cut the talk shorter or split it up. It is MUCH TOO LONG!
I don't know. I just don't really see how the officials mismanaged that. Warriors ball…calls the mandatory timeout. There is a mavs player in ear shot of looney getting clarification of the official clarifying to looney it is warriors ball and he was signaling a timeout. so if you want to give leeway to the mavs and they really thought it was their ball and they just weren't told…it's literally nearly 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. They presumably have a whole team and staff that somehow forgot they can't advance the ball at that time, all got on the floor on the wrong end. The back official got behind them because they were on the back end. It's not the job of the officials to flag them down and be like "hey…do you really want to be on the wrong end of the court, when they are inbounding the ball?" I highly doubt there would be any reprimand behind the scenes. what are they going to reprimand them for? getting the play right? not stepping in to help a team realize even if they incorrectly thought it was their ball that literally none of their players went down to try to actually inbound the ball? haha
Booker could too? eh no!
When did Booker become a certified Hall of Famer lol???
Tim is 31, kleber 31, powell 31 and bullock 32. Josh 22 and Jaden 20. They have a severe gap in roleplayer age that is going to hit really bad the next two years and they will still be cursed by Bertans contract. It's going to be very hard to untangle. They have no real player that is in line with Luka.
had no effect on the game Warriors deservedly won
They actually lost by 5, at the least lost by 3
how ab hardy slipping and falling and calling a foul on Donte or Lamb getting shoved from behind
or Steph never get a free throw call to save his life
Last season the Mavs inbounded the ball before the Warriors were in position. I didn't hear anyone complain about that…
The Mavs screwed up and are trying to save face by blaming the refs.
The unionized officials are out of control in every league – its impossible to hold them accountable without the league getting sued by the union and the track record is overwhelmingly in favor of officials in situations like this. You have to be found guilty of actually fixing matches or there's really nothing the league can do to them. Its embarrassing that the top level officials in the MLB/NBA/NFL are not only the cream of the crop officials. They have to find a way to weed out bad apples without getting sued for a bushel.
Additionally when players get bad calls they give attitude to officials. When officials get attitude there's a much higher chance the player gets worse calls. This has created a culture of anti-ref players and as a response it seems like the ref's have created an anti-player culture. Players feel disrespected by bad calls, the refs are directly disrespected by the players, and neither wants to take the high road.
To me the solution is to create referee statistics. Show the public the types of calls, the accuracy of the calls, the frequency of fouls, and other relevant info. Rank them and set standards for excellence. Use the G-League as a recruiting field for these refs and when someone's performance falls REPLACE THEM. Pay them based on performance, head officials shouldn't be tempted to fix matches because of low salary. Reduce pay for important missed calls – if you are standing directly in front of Lebron while he's slapped on the wrist with time expiring you should have to answer to your employer on why that happened and what steps you're taking to make sure that doesn't happen in the future. ACCOUNTABILITY
good stuff zach , keep it up
Mavs are lucky they didn't give Luka his 16th tech for implying the refs are paid off, multple times.
I'm sympathetic to the Mavs being initially confused by the ref arm motion and the announcer. But they still didn't go to where the ball was inbounded. Perhaps they froze in confusion, but I suspect they either thought (wrongly) they could advance the ball or forgot which basket they were at. Ultimately you need your coach or someone to be more clued in
Masia didnt do the trade for george and then again for durant
Jeff said you’d go with Embiid fur recency even though early in the season he had a near 60pt quad dub one of the greatest performances ever. He Molly wopped Jokic & Denver head to head earlier in the season. Embiid had been MVP from last season all the way through now tbh.
Refs change calls all the time. Hence the 2nd direction after initially pointing Warriors suggest that idiot ref changed the call to Mavs ball. It even made the announcer called out Mavs ball.
The ref should have heard this, go to the table and corrected the announcer making sure it was understood he did not change the call.
If they grant the protest then the record books will need to be corrected removing all of the cases where the refs "allowed" teams to make mistakes such as calling a timeout when none are left.
If the Mavericks thought it was their ball, why was there not a Maverick there to inbound the ball where it had gone out of bounds?
If the announcer said it and not the refs it's not the ref fault
Can SOMEONE, ANYONE in the MSM of Sports say 1 word about #5 GSWs pulling #8 DAL to the floor by the jersey as IN FOUL! NOTHING CALLED and it happened seconds before that out of bounds call!
go cavs
The announcer messed this whole thing up. His mistake cost the mavs. There were many bad calls the mavs got away with
The mavs were not paying attention and chose to listen to the announcer rather than check with a ref
I lasted 13 minutes. Luka must just realise that they are doing this so that he doesn't steal the league. He's just too good. Something much hold him back, even if it's a whistle. He will just have to be twice as good as the officials.
Is it also the refs job to tell a team they have too many or too few players on the court? Nope! So what’s the difference here. Just take the L already.
It's sad how Jeff Vsn Gundy thinks Scottie's ejection was right but not Luka's money side. Scottie was upset b/c throyghout the ladt 2:30mins if play the ref was cheating Raptors & Scirtie had enough. The game was stolen from Raps. Raps are refs the worst out of all teams in the league. Siakam & Barnes have more drives & put pressure of the rim more than Reaves & get don't get half the calls like Reaves. I bet you they would if they were on Lakers or heck another team.
Zach and jvg should be both on a split screen, be much better.
