This show was a fever dream to me! Saw it for the first time in passing on cartoon Network as a kid
That bounty was in Double Dollars.
this is a disgustingly sub-par synopsis of an amazing series. It's like you put 80% of your effort into editing your intro and did the rest of the work for the video while hungover from a night of jaegerbombs
Trigun was never underrated
Lmao at underrated… this established anime in America..[adult swim]
The new trigun totally sucks. They strayed from the original storyline way too far and made too many changes that ruined a lot of significant concepts that makes trigun what it is.
This video made me realize I've watch a lot of Trigun and still had no idea wtf this show was about. This also dissuaded me from wanting to rewatch it. That was a super anti climactic ending
I have loved Trigun ever since a high school friend introduced me to the anime. I later got into the manga which is even better.
I've been considering getting a Crunchyroll account again just to check out the new series.
Lolzz he said underrated lol
1997-98 as a kid watching after school
Nothing else needs to be explained, except his past. Which only the manga readers can I guess? If there ever was a manga?
9:58 Always felt like knives had a gay thing for Vash. Cause the whole, "Just you and me." Schtick, is such an over looked part of this.
vash and knives teaming up fighting a stronger dude. 😊 That would be epic
I watch trigun when im in gradeschool. Now im 39.
A good anime from my childhood
SO DID HIS BROTHER DIE OR NO!?
Trigun is Defiantly not underrated. Jus everyone that loved that show is in their 30s or late 20s an all these weebs like Aot shingeki no crap. An that over clouded everything.
Also the major intro To anime was Emo anime Like Death note for the main cultures an then naruto for the weebs
The great Era of Toonami Yu yu Hakusho 90s anime was over with that.
Such a Good era of Anime. Quickly over shadowed by the Naruto bleach Death note one piece era of weebs.
I exclude DBZ cause it is just always been their obviously
To be honest, the star of the new series Trigun Stamped, IS way better to the original, But also feels different, I can say that is more modern and mature.
A lot of stuff I honestly didn't pick up on. Your video makes me appreciate Trigun all the more
The new trigun is trash, it has none of what made the original trigun so good.
After watching this, it confirmed why I think Stampede misses the point of how the story was told. There was much more weight in the original which just doesn't exist in Stampede
Remake drags on sooooo badly thus far.
The premise of Trigun is more or less the same as Monster, but I don't know why I couldn't bring myself to watch it past episode 1 and mind you this is the same for the 1998 and 2023 versions of the anime. Somehow, the idea of a pacifist, peace-loving gunman doesn't really stick well with me, especially when it is set in a futuristic outer space setting. I know there are other animes such as Vinland Saga and Monster where the protagonist refuses to kill for some personal reasons or moral values, but Trigun just doesn't do it for me this time.
Good ol' Wolfwood
if you're planning to watch the latest remake, "vash stampede"…..never watch the original "trigun" series. you've been warned. or just watch Trigun.
Tri Gun isn't Underrated.
”Humanoid Typhoon” is such a badass nickname
My first anime show and my favorite one.
Great story however I always felt Vash would mop the floor with Knives considering Vash has decades of combat experience and Knives always had proxies fighting for him.
I loved this anime and am really enjoying the reboot
I hope you'll watch the new version despite all the complaints. I'm speaking as a person who's never watched the original Trigun, but I've also seen many old viewers enjoy the new version. Better to make your own opinion on it. Also don't be squicked by the animation being 3D– it looks really, really good. Look at some of the teasers they've put out to see if you like it
I'mma share a sad story. I have never watched Trigun before, nor read the manga. In fact, I only started in this world a few weeks ago.
I started watching original Trigun, KNOWING about the existence of Stampede, for the sake of my late friend. Vash was his all-time favorite character. This month has been his first anniversary of him passing away.
Yeah I never knew who Vash was so I looked it up and I said, I'd watch Trigun on his anniversary. March 5th.
I can see why he loved Vash, If he's well represented in the anime, I don't know. I never got to know If he read the manga.
I watched it all, and I'm up-to-date with Stampede too. (I wasn't sure If I wanted to watch it… I've never been fan of the cgi stuff or whatever it's called. But If found out I could watch it too, and enjoyed it, most importantly.) That last episode left me wanting to know moreeeeee! I think my friend would have LOVED Trigun Stampede too.
I love Vash too now lol, at least, from anime Trigun and Stampede. I like both versions so far! I think I'm liking Stampede a bit more though lol
My only complain is, original anime Trigun needed MORE KNIVES >:C Srsly, the main villain, wdf, WHY DID HE APPEAR SO LITTLE. I'm loving Stampede Knives far moooooore.
I should read the manga now, while I wait for next episode, woohoooooo
And I'm totally forcing a friend we had in common, to watch it too lmao. That's what friends do, force them!
I came to watch after seeing how bad the reboot was.
One of the few stories I love to watch over and over… Because you learn a little more each time!
Yeah no WolfWood was in the right. Idc who you are you don’t pull guns on literal children.
Eatman is also good no one talks about it much.
I never thought of Trigun as underrated
Who the fuck told you it’s underrated?
watching this wall watching the new remake
Just watched the last episode of trigun stampede.
Milly is mentioned to be Meryl new partner after her boss the old Robert guy died.
Vash tapped into his powers and have his iconic spiky hair back
The events of trigun stampede is a prequel to the July explosion event.
Haters gonna hate but fvck what they say.
I am living for Trigun Stampede.
Plus I hated Milly
I look forward to checking out the new anime, though I truly loved the original, though the manga more so. When this anime first came out, I remember seeing it in a magazine my older brother brought back from Japan. It made me redesign the main character in a little comic I was doing, which later became a game. He looked like Vash a bit when I initially drew him, minus the round shades and the long red coat. However I thought he looked a bit too serious and mean and though he is supposed to have a rebellious nature somewhat, as he is the lead vocalist/guitarist of what is called a Strife Metal Band (there is lore behind this style of metal), but he is supposed to be a bit light hearted though not goofy.
I do not know why or how it happened, but the Chocobo of Final Fantasy, particularly the way it looked in Tactics and Flammie of Seiken Densetsu 2, were part of his redesign as well as Fenrir of Norse myth, people actually see it, in his recent portrait sketch lol. But his main influences of course were a younger Roy Batty of Blade Runner and younger Thouzer of Hokuto no Ken.. I felt bad for those characters as a kid lol. A bit of Billy Idol was added, as was Mash from Final Fantasy VI.. My favorite character from my most favorite Final Fantasy of all time! The character is called, KD7302-Kydan on his home world, but Einar Ulrik when he is adopted, after being accidently sent to Earth (he leaves at 15 though)
The original game was heavily inspired by Chrono Trigger. There was no time travel, just travel to 3 different planets, derelict starships a massive city in space called Zot. We had called the comic/game "Armament of Volition", currently remaking both. This anime/manga is one of my most favorites, because it wasn't just good, but also made me stop doubting my work when I was a kid.
