Wit Studio had the same intro cuz it's the same team working under MAPPA.

I don't know if this fully makes sense and it's half based on rumour, but I guessed with the motorcycle intro that since it was rumoured the animation team that worked on vinland S1 moved to mappa after the switch to continue working on it, that the intro is less a mark of the studio and more a mark of that animation team, and they just changed the logo to fit their new employers.

When we first saw Canute (in season 2) I remember him saying that the soldiers who were trying to sell the women should be beheaded and he had forbidden selling of slaves and stuff and here we can see he has forbidden duels, cz he wants to create a "peaceful" Utopia, but he also said "it's so the people can have peace but they must pay the price for it", he's became a pretty twisted person

but they were humans trying to live their life too, with some misunderstanding of today or viking days about what right or wrong

The sun is true love as canute mention it in season 1. Human lost the capability to love indiscriminately due to the sin of our ancestors(adam & eve), that’s why war happens and we have to suffer. It’s a reference to season 1. I like that he speak it while the sun fading away. Maybe i am just over analyzing thing haha

thanks for mentioning the animation that similar to wit… i felt better for this episode
maybe not thorgil cut limbs like they were made from the soft matter of earth… they vikings not jedais with light saber for crying out loud
but the animation of exprassions was more realistic to me in shorts this episode

I really like how at the end both Canute and Thorfinn are looking at the sunset, Canute's thinking about his utopia, and in episode 10 Thorfinn was talking about a world without slavery and war. Also does anyone no if we are getting a new OP?

thorgil beating the kid wasn't 100% all fun, pure sadism. in his eyes he respected the guts the kid had and wanted to be a part of the moment.
