Hello to anyone reading this. I wanna build my Ningguang. I think it takes me time to use her burst at the moment and her gem missiles are… weak. :')
I just started playing 2 months ago so I don't have that many good artifacts. What should I farm for her and how can I build her as a dps? Thank you in advance.
Ngl id coop fighting raiden, but all my friend team died and i cleared a half HP raiden alone using ning and zhongly, she only need to boost atk speed so we got a real meta

As a Ning enjoyer I have to say she never disappoint. She might not be top tier but I never have an issue killing things with her or get 12 star (unless the abyss resist Geo) and her ability to hit moving target/ramged is definitely great. Her burst cost 40 with 12 sec cooldown and her E can be done twice cuz her talent tho 6 sec CD for energy so if you time it correctly you can have 100% up time on her burst without any ER on her. Oh and her charge cost no stamina if you do normal attack first.
So first Zhong/ALbedo then Bennett skill>burst>XL Skill>Burst>then Ningguang rotation that took about 8-9 sec and repeat. The key is to use her N1>skil>Charge>Burst before particle reach you, this will destroy your jade and reset the CD from 12 sec>Charge>N1/2>charge>n1>charge> then 6-7 sec should have passed so use your skill and you will get energy and if you have Zhong/Albedo pillar aim it at their construct so that your skill will hit the enemy and deal damage+generate particle but also get destroyed to reset the CD (6 cd if destroyed, 12 if not) then switch to your other character. This way you will take advantage of Bennett burst until the duration run out every rotation.
She just kinda terrible for AOE cuz her dmg doesn't scale with enemies number just like Shenhe but Noelle/Itto exist for a reason I guess but she is not terrible at it, I still beat most mob stage abyss just fine with her.
I have her C6 for almost 2 years and I use skyward atlas r1, my team is usually Bennett+XL+Albedo/Zhong depend if I need more damage or shielding, she deals 25-35k on her burst despite lacking 4 set artifact, honestly I'm tempted to grind 4 set Petra since XL deal a lot of damage in her team and the 18% atk buff from the 2 set isn't a huge deal with my crowned bennett around but getting the right substat will be pain so I'm not sure yet, too many artifact to grind smh. Oh and make sure your Bennett have Fav for battery and your XL have more than 230 ER or use fav so that she will have 100% uptime without switching back and forth to battery from bennett (or let her use the catch and put fav on zhong)
As great as she is unfortunately she has 4 main weakness – no artifact 4 set that fit her well and the 2 set kinda meh just like Fischl – Mainly single target damage dealer – No 5 star BIS weapon like the Mist Splitter or Jade cutter but catalyst (or 4 star like Albedo) – No specialized support, Bennett is her best buffer and she need a geo pair but no one is a great support for her, Albedo scale of def so can't benefit from Bennett while Zhongli is overkill with bennett around for the defensive side. Gorou best geo support for anyone who scale of def which she isn't, she also don't work with Yunjin cuz most of her damage is from burst then charge and skill
Yet despite all that she is still a great character with a complete skillset that is fun to use and work pretty well in most situation and have decent result unlike Dehya
Her burst create 6 Jade instead of 5, also if her screen was not placed incorrectly and break by hitting the boss (you can place it slightly on the side cuz of the wide AOE to still hit the boss without breaking the screen) it will create another 6 Jade for a whopping 12 jade and with the right buff it can hit for 20-35k each so that's easy 250k at least (see 1:06 sadly she doesn't get Bennett buff or have shield for Geo resonance so her damage is ew in this, but she does deal the 12 jade damage)
Also her charge attack from C6 create 7 Star Jade (she generate 1 every normal attack outside of her burst from C6) for 10k each so that's 70 and her charge attack is also significant dealing 30-50k each time, oh and her skill deal about 50-70k every 7-8 second if you take advantage of her talent instead of waiting 12 second for her cooldown. Ofc you can quickly case the skill twice so you can do 2 skill every 13 second but you won't get the extra energy particle so pick your poison. (you can use skill on the boss or geo construct to destroy it then aim slightly sideway to cast the skill again without breaking it to then use burst so the screen is destroyed to generate 6 jade and then you can use charge attack and switch to other character, that is how you use her in quick swap team, took like 4 second on field with 12 sec cd on skill and burst)
So on optimal rotation using the number in this run it would be (12×22)+(7×10)+38+(60×2)=492k in 4 second with 12 sec rotation and normal+charge filler on the remaining 8. Of course this is assuming he has 100% crit which he doesn't since I saw like 20k dmg on his skill cuz non crit and prob about 200% crit dmg cuz he has crit weapon (my ning with atlas is at 70/160 crit ratio so with that weapon he should have like extra 66% crit value/33% crit rate even if he has lower crit from substat, getting 80/180 shouldn't be difficult)
Honestly she is not much inferior to the average 5 star at C0, she is just lacking the perfect team, weapon and artifact which make her noticeably weaker but even then it is only like 10-20 sec slower than meta team in abyss (40-50 sec for hyperbloom/national/freeze then Ning will take about 50-1 min 10 sec which is still very well bellow the 90 sec mark unless it is wenut or anything that resist geo)
