I can see how you guys felt confused about this sneak peek. I will try my best to explain what this anime is all about and I want to clarify that Fate/strange Fake is not actually a good start for people who want to start to get into the Fate series. So to put it simply, this anime is the adaptation of the Fate/Strange Fake light novel. This anime is the latest animated adaptation of the Fate series. It is a spin-off to put it clearly. The original one is called Fate/stay night. And it is originally a visual novel game that in time, has expanded to multiple spin-off stories just and one of them is Fate/strange Fake.

To tell you generally what Fate/series is all about in a simpler term, it is a battle royale between heroes, fictional, mythical and historical characters that exist in this world. In Fate, there also exist magi who can use magecraft to summon these people to fight for them in a battle royale called Holy Grail War. Usually, in a Holy Grail War, there are 7 participants maximum that each can only summon 1 of these historical/mythical people and they will duke it out with each other until there is only one left. The winner will be rewarded by the Grail any wish that they want to be granted.

The character(the king) that you see being summoned by the mage for the first time is called *King Gilgamesh*. He was summoned in the original Fate/stay night series so people that had followed this series for so long would instantly recognize him.

*Gilgamesh*(the blonde king) and *Enkidu*(the green hair) (they were the one that was fighting at the end there) – they are both from Epic of Gilgamesh.

Jack the Ripper – the Fate interpretation of this historical figure is very interesting I will assure you that.

Sorry if this is too much 😅 I really love Fate and other media that related to it but it's really hard to explain what the series is all about to newcomers because of how many titles and 22 years long the series are. I also just got into the series for only three years now but I am already intrigued by how interesting the lore and story telling of all of these series.
