I can see why Folingo got the first of those two calls in game 4 but agree that the 2nd call was completely blown by the refs. Between Foligno's post game comments and Dumba's game one hit on Pavelski it was clear to me that the refs used what was an unfortunate – and NOT premeditated – knee on knee to send a message to the Wild. Between that & their hopeless PK efforts, I'm afraid that they're doomed to another first round exit. 🙁

Funny how he was able to get his whole upper body out of the way…..
The most Intent I've seen in a while
What a pos

After further review, the batter was out of the baseline, 10 yard penalty, touchdown.

Nathan Lindahl 2023.04.26 - 12:47 pm

The NHL should be embarrassed by the officiating in this series. I’ve never seen such one sided calls in any sport

Ариан Назаров 2023.04.26 - 1:12 pm

🤨👎🖕 Dallas 🙏🤝✊

Bulk Crusha 2023.04.26 - 1:12 pm

Never stuck his leg out ,But only he knows the intentions

Bulk Crusha 2023.04.26 - 1:13 pm

2 minute penalty . I agree

lightguy13 2023.04.26 - 1:36 pm

on the replay you can see Foligno skated in a straight line and was bracing for impact on a clean hit. you can see him turning to initiate shoulder contact but, faksa rolls to avoid the hit, which left his knee to take the brunt of the contact. It was ugly, but foligno didn't go out of his way or lead with his own knee. shouldn't have been a penalty. That Faksa got carried off the ice in an ambulance and doesn't actually miss a shift echo's the wilds point of diving for calls. you could argue 2 minutes for interference on foligno, but also would need to do 2 minutes for embellishment.

landofodin 2023.04.26 - 1:55 pm

That was pathetic. We get it, Dallas is the bigger market. Seems rigged.

CROWTUBE Crozier 2023.04.26 - 2:00 pm

Minor penaltie all day, but a major, and a game? It's hockey, it's playoffs! I saw nothing deliberately done there. Unreal, unfair.

Hershey Beard 2023.04.26 - 2:19 pm

That’s a really bad call. I guess no onus on Faksa jumping in the air for a puck like wide receiver puttinf himself in a vulnerable position. It’s certainly a penalty but 5 and game when Makar got 2 mins.

Maxime De Guise 2023.04.26 - 2:19 pm

Not a fan of either team but players that jumps out of incoming hits = this is what happens. Foligno should've had 2 minutes from game 4 and 5 combined. Not 19 lol.

Mac Rolfing 2023.04.26 - 2:45 pm

Faksa came back 5 minutes later…

Jordan Streib 2023.04.26 - 3:00 pm

I can't stand Hartman and Foligno

Kenneth Opsal 2023.04.26 - 3:03 pm

Absolutely atrocious call!!! The NHL should be ashamed. This decision gave the game to the Stars and it should be settled on the ice not from New York!!!

Baron Necas 2023.04.26 - 3:03 pm

At least the second hit where the Diving Stars are trying to jump out of the way and somehow that's Moose's fault. If they could man up and take a hit worthy of their size instead of embellishing everything maybe we could be playing hockey instead of basketball 🏀. That guy literally looks up like he's fine, sees the camera, and quick tucks his head back down

Kenneth Opsal 2023.04.26 - 3:05 pm

Not to mention this was a huge embellishment on the stars AGAIN! Literally oh I can’t get up I can’t walk and is carried off! He is back in the game in three minutes!!! Complete horse crap play by Dallas again and the NHL to reward Dallas and change the series

2 SookeR 2 2023.04.26 - 3:08 pm

the wild are the dirtiest team i’ve seen in the past decade

mnminnmn 2023.04.26 - 3:12 pm

BS call, he was lining up a hit, but faksa turned to avoid. coincidental. he didnt lead with his knee nor was it his intention. if you play hockey, its easy to see.

Daniel K 2023.04.26 - 3:25 pm

dang when did matt cooke come back into the league

Nicholas Rizzo 2023.04.26 - 3:28 pm

These announcers are cracked lmao. Must have had money on MN.

Crystal Starr 2023.04.26 - 3:33 pm

I love Marcus Foligno. But u can't do that.

A C 2023.04.26 - 3:37 pm

We knew they were going to target him after he called out the refs for their blatant bias for the stars and their BS calls.

Eddie Jackson 2023.04.26 - 3:58 pm

Not a dirty hit but it’s definitely one that is avoidable and unnecessary

Random name 2023.04.26 - 4:00 pm

Makar injured somebody in the Colorado game and get the two minute penalty.

GregOr Beast 2023.04.26 - 4:05 pm

It will be interesting to see what player safety has to say about this. Makar received a 1 game suspension for a minor penalty. A major and a misconduct would be more than that, surely. Additionally, if Foligno has received multiple penalties for kneeing this season and last, that shows intent/malice.

Alec Lonson 2023.04.26 - 4:14 pm

If you want to make a comment on this call, first think about whether you can play pickup hockey recreationally outdoors. If you can’t, sorry, you don’t know anything about hockey, cause you’ve never actually lived the culture.

Dave Riebel 2023.04.26 - 4:29 pm

Foligno won't be getting any breaks for the rest of this year. Shame, he plays the game the way it should be played. Nobody goes to a game to watch you refs, get that straight in your heads.

Rejean 2023.04.26 - 4:51 pm

He didn't have to move his knee. it was already in position to do damage. I don't think he could have extended very much more. Take into account how Minny has played this series and Bye bye.

rockymtflyfisher 2023.04.26 - 5:24 pm

That was total bs… no major, this is playoff hockey, league has terribly inconsistent officiating and enforcement- what a joke…

Sam Baker 2023.04.26 - 5:42 pm

i dont understand how this is a major and Makar's was a minor.

Dave Rogerson 2023.04.26 - 6:31 pm

That's all Foligno does is take runs at people. Him and Reeves are talented but chaep shot artist

77racing 2023.04.26 - 6:36 pm

brad meier is a tool

M W 2023.04.26 - 7:30 pm

He tried not to hit him in the head….and they tossed him for it. Boy they sure didn't waste any time showing how pissed they were about his post game comments

Mark Thomas 2023.04.26 - 8:23 pm

BAD CALL….UNINTENTIONAL

Danny Woodhead 2023.04.26 - 9:41 pm

When the wild’s coach said he wanted to see penalties, I didn’t he was implying even if it was at the cost of the series

Matt T 2023.04.26 - 11:19 pm

crap refs

Ray h 2023.04.27 - 12:32 am

Should have been called on both players. They both extended their legs.

blueix9 2023.04.27 - 1:32 am

Reading some of the comment on the Minnesota side of things. There was one wild fan that was mad that Faksa came back….

Vern Suihkonen 2023.04.27 - 1:36 am

Another Dallas dive. Figures

La Corriveau 2023.04.27 - 1:50 am

Sabotaging his team.

CheezyPikle 2023.04.27 - 2:27 am

Gotta keep your head up. Foligno was just going after Faksa who had the puck.

Thomas Virnig 2023.04.27 - 5:01 am

A grand BS!!! Fake injury in order to eject Folingo! These stupid referees should be ousted!!! They must not come back next year. Finished!!

Mr Kreations 2023.04.27 - 5:50 am

I’m going to preface this point by saying I am in no way a WILD fan, (I’m actually an Avs fan). That being said, if nearly any other player happens to make knee on knee contact in this game they would get 2 or maybe even 5 minutes at a stretch. The fact that Foligno made true comments about the refs the night before, was the kiss of death for him on this call. I’m surprised they didn’t give him a two game suspension. Just horrendous officiating.

mark Bruins Fan 2023.04.27 - 2:16 pm

NHL refs are a joke. That's not even a 2 minute penalty. The other guy turned. 💩
