This episode was just AMAZING ❤❤
🔥🔥
Hi :3
Won't watch yet but I'll give you a like and a comment
😔
such an amazing episode
Wow . Thịt mặt xinh đẹp quá 😘😘
honestly, I don't blame Guarda. Even if he and the other men stayed, they would be invaded anyway and people would be killed, raped and enslaved.
Amazing episode and Reaction!
Kayla your uploading kinda late than usual. Is everything okay?
Edit: I should have played the video before writing that haha
Gardar's suffering was very very common in the ancient times, people from their birth to the day before getting slaved never thought of becoming a slave, those people had family, dreams, goals and suddenly they get turned into slave. Some slaves tries to find the positive of it like Einer and many don't, millions or billions people suffered.
I loved the moment when Arnheid's tears falling on his face felt rain to him, the director did a perfect job there, in the end Gardar gets to meet his son(in heaven ofcourse)
Remember that Snake didn't kill Gardar when he had the chance and at that moment Gardar had already killed his owners and a Snake's man, he already spared his life once, but 5 of his men were already too much, it's true that if slavery didn't exist there wouldn't be a problem in the first place, but it is the society in which they live, and within what is possible it is the most peaceful thing that Snake has found to live with his men
Ill be completely honest
As per my point of view, Snakes context is wrong but at the same time i cant say hes wrong
I am not that much deep in history but i can kinda why snake wants to kill gardar so badly.
All i can say is Snake is definitely not completely wrong but also not completely right is this decision making.
This is like the same case with Askeladd. Not comparing both, he has also done worst things but i still cant hat him.
I think Throfinn's strength is something you could equate to freedom in our world and how you conduct and operate yourself in societies where there is a possibility to make your own unique decisions. I'd say to have that…well, a certain level of education and luck is needed, as well as a good family and support circle to facilitate it. You could be from a wealthy family, but your parents could be horrendous people and unfairly disown you. Or you could be from a poverty-stricken background and be of strong enough will to make it comfortably. But those are more exceptions. As for the rest…well, people will follow the culture/tribe that will ensure them the best chance of survival. Or so I think.
"Is there a way to get where they are without going through the shit?"
I'd say that's what storytelling is for. These days we have plenty of material but even back then there was family stories, religion, myth and other ways to transfer lessons
Well It was Such a great episode And the way they gave Gardar such a beautifully sad send-off. And props to the Paino man he just elevates the whole experience to another level.
Snake is just older version of Gabi
No matter the choice Gardar made the result would have been the same. But in a different order. That's what I get from his and Arnhied's story. There really wasnt any right choice. If Gardar and the men stayed they would have been conquered by stronger factions wanting their Iron vein.
Animaechan have you seen Legend of the Galactic Heroes? It talks a lot about what you refer to here: 25:25
It's about a futuristic space war between a corrupt democracy and a decadent monarchy. It goes into the politics a lot and doesn't try to spoon feed you answers. Rather it leaves what is truly right up to your own interpretation
Based on your discussions you'd probably enjoy it a lot
Snake doesnt care about honor anything else in this matter….he just bonded with his men. He likely wouldve wanted to kill Gardar after Gardar killed the first man Ligard or lizard idk i forgot ihis name and he was fodder anyway lol….But regardless…..snake cares for his men.. He didnt aim to kill Gardar at first because Snake although he cares for his men, he understands AS SAID IN HIS OWN WORDS….. his men are all a bunch of lowlife scumbags who although human…who have emotions and have bonded with each other….have commited terrible crimes that maybe dont need explaining….likely typical viking stuff….pillaging villages, graping woman, stealing, torturing the husbands, killing the kids. (some of snakes men seem to have a higher morale even if a douche bag though…we see this when that man loses his mood by watching Arnheid cry her eyes out)(
He made fun of her but he also isnt such a monster that he would take pleasure in her grief by itself. Pure grief is a turn off to him)( So some of Snakes men are douchy and scummy but have SOMEWHAT of a code even if they including snake isnt aware of it)
Snake cares about his men but he knows if they die…they probably "deserve it"..i put that in quotations on purpose to show thats a subjective NOT OBJECTIVE opinion… So snake like a somewhat responsible man/adult will hold himself back from acting upon his immediate emotions to a certain extent…
Gardar however crossed that line COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLY for very reasonable reasons…. That line that he crossed is one where snakes emotions overpower his logic where he cant hold himself back anymore. Im sure even if what he was doing was against the rules, he would still do it.. The old man begged snake to not kill Gardar and Snake still did it. Its not about respecting rules either let alone HONOR
iTS A MATTER of EMOTIONS AND PAIN that snake doesnt show through tears. but rather anger. His sorrow manifest itself through his sword. Not his tears.
However killing Gardar won't bring back snakes men so the pain remains
For clarity: I did not say Hebi is the one enslaving Gardar. As someone in the comments put it: "She means that Snake is perpetuating the culture by enforcing it."
If you actually listen to me, you'll hear it's very clear that I'm not blaming Hebi for anything, I was just explaining how I think Gardar has been acting in self defense all this time, because he only killed the people who enslaved him (shown in an earlier episode) and then the people who pursue him to essentially bring him back and make sure he remains enslaved.
So my point was not "it's Hebi's fault", my point was, I don't believe Gardar is wrong for trying to escape slavery.
I talked more in detail (in this video) about this whole thing. If you don't want to listen, that's fine. But I also will not waste time arguing with people in the comments who clearly didn't listen to what I said.
This episode was pain and suffering
"For honor and wealth" he did it to secure a future for his son , and people blame him for everything 😢
I pretty much agree with everything you said here
Thanks so much, #Animaechan, for uploading this awesome anime reaction. I love your anime content so much because it's absolutely amazing, and I really enjoy watching your reactions to different anime series.
Nice!
rip to a good man 👑
I never understood this weird anger people had for Gardar just because he made one wrong choice ( in their eyes ) but they will make so much excuses for Snake even though he literally is helping slave owners in this slave shit .
So bizarre .
Just hope Arnheid could be free from this trash farm.
W
You are an amazing and wonderful person Kayla l respect you so much
For me Ketil being a slave owner is morally good, because he never enslaved anyone. He just buys existing slaves and treats them well. So the slaves' situation becomes objectively better. Ofc the next better thing is for him to free his slaves, but we can't just ask him to buy slaves and then free them, remember slaves are very expensive, the equivalent of a good car nowadays.
Gardar did nothing wrong.
Snake isn't bad.
He can't leave a man with murderous intent on Ketil.
"The essential is invisible to the eyes" – Little Prince.
Oh good grief… Such a Simple-minded conclusion with such a serious and smart facial expressions…..
❤❤
Very interesting perspective. I guess the show wants to stress no violence and love. There's subtle hint like the baby starts crying when Gardar hammered the iron but stopped crying when the mother touched. The whole thing is suggesting how fighting and killing is bad and meaningless but on the other hand like you said if you don't defend yourself and give up fighting whatsoever you might just end up dead. Just take a look at Einar's family. I'm sure they lived in peace the whole time. So the biggest issue is just that time period where everyone's life seem meaningless. This gives a better perspective for Canute who realized that so young and so wanting to change that in a violent manner. Interested to see what will happen whne he comes.
Kayla looking beautiful as always!
Imagine if Gardar tried to put Thorkell in a choke hold like that
Your discussions are always so interesting ty
