Hope you enjoy guys another amazing episode today as usual but wow were some of these scenes amazing, as I mention in the outro the scene with Einar, Thorfinn and Arnheid was brilliant. Arnheids VA was top class there it gave me goosebumps hearing her try and talk about the situation and her dream which looks to be pretty promising from what we see in the preview but I’m going to remain reserved about that as I’m not sure things will end that well but I do hope they do! We have another class scene with Snake and old man Ketil where Snake is offered the old mans portion of the farm alongside everything he’s cultivated these years and I just don’t think Snake truly realises to offer he’s been given but loved that scene right there and also very interested to hear more about Snake after the old man brings up his sword, very interesting… But of course we end off with Thorfinn vs Snake which I can’t wait to see next ep after Thorfinn has a chat with his old mentor of sorts and releases himself to violence for this instance but let me know what you thought of this ep in the comment section, another banger as usual!!

Why are these episodes not an hour long! 😩 what a great episode!
So my immediate thoughts before I really get into watching your reaction…. The conversation between the old man and Snake. It reminds me so much of Godo and Guts. It’s different in tone of course, but both old men are trying to talk some sense into the younger man they care for. Both are trying to persuade them that the sword is not that necessary for their future, to embrace a quiet life to some extent…. With Snake it’s a farmer, and with Guts it’s a blacksmith. Edit: and yes, I could be reaching with this comparison.
Poor Arnheid… her dream of a family, the hopelessness of being a slave and the hope of the life she carries. It’s a lot to endure.
The showdown between Snake and Thorfinn….. it’s going to be fire! I love both equally….. it’s really a battle of philosophies. Violence vs Pacifist. The pep talk with Askeladd… absolutely wonderful! Even though Askeladd used violence himself, there were times he did not use his sword and fought….. like Thors. It was rare, but he did do it….. his final wish for Thorfinn was to become a true warrior like his father…. He could see the potential. Also that kids annoyed him. So, how do you fight nonviolently? That is the question that Thorfinn must figure out.
