If I remember right (can’t check at the moment), the episode where they went to the government office had Miri’s birthday in November on the paperwork. So we missed it between this and the last episode! She’s 5!
(Side note: I may have read the date with the American month-day order by accident, so, technically, her birthday could have actually been earlier, too 😅)
This got me sobbing at 3am. Kazuki hiding his pain even tho it shows and Rei trying to be the stronger and more matured handling things since Miri's mom came even he is hurting too., he also didnt hesitate to voice out how cruel their situation is right now. The scarf scene mirroring the cat scene on 1st ep on how they brought it back really got me in tears
I’ve read somewhere(interview with the staff) that episode 9 was the last “fluffy” episode.
this episode was so depressing like 🙁
Here is my theory either miri do a normal life when she grow up or she become assasin because everyone die around her like her mom, her both dad she whould be not accepted and probably going against her grandpa idk what the final whould be

This is just a messed up situation, and it's all the mother's fault.
She threw Miri out deciding on a whim she just doesn't want her anymore, has never wanted her anyway.
These two, like decent adults, try to bring her back before anyone can get attached but mom STILL wants absolutely nothing to do with her, so they take her in.
And a year later, when it will break absolutely everyone's hearts, THAT'S when she decides she wants her daughter back? And ONLY because she's about to die anyway?? That mother is so messed up, I honestly have no words for it.

Like I have written over at another channel reacting to this episode… I DREAD to imagine what poor little Miri's reaction will be next morning, when she discovers that no, this is not a sleepover with mommy, but that she will not be seeing her papas again, EVER. Like, damn… The crying, scream, rolling around on the floor while doing both, etc, will be a total nightmare for her mother, not to mention traumatic for the little girl, whom as far as she knows, just got abandoned my another parental figure AGAIN, after the most fun and happy day of her life….
