What a satisfying conclusion to this season. The relief on Thorfinn's face after his mom recognized him, after being initially rejected by his sister, was palpable.
Even if season 3 doesn't happen, at least Thorfinn has come full cricle and returned to his homeland and reunited with his family, now he ready to start a new jorreny to fill a dream of his own, I also expect Thorfinn likely feels lighter in terms of the burden he been carrying, because he told his family everything that happened to him and what he experienced during those sixteen years away from home and they likely forgiven him, thou its a burden he must carry for the rest of his life
Vinland Saga is in my top 5 favourite anime and will always stay there. There will never be another anime like it

It’s weird seeing him with short hair and a clean shaven face lol
I went to study and work abroad for 15 years and finally coming back to live at my own home feels very wholesome. Glad I will be starting my chapter 3 at the same time as Thorfinn.
Vinland saga 2nd season was a life lesson…. Thorfinn was not much of a protagonist in the first season but the character development in second season was phenomenal… he's definitely one of the finest protagonist… Thorfinn has no enemies
Vinland Saga has firmly placed itself in my top 5 maybe my top 3 anime of all time. Best story telling and character development I've seen in a show in a long time. They didn't rush the story and let it cook, which I have a lot of praise for Mappa for letting the story do this. I can see a different timeline where they rushed this into a 12 episode rather than 24 and rushed this story cutting out a lot of the nuance.
I'm just gonna say "I have no enemy's". I haven't been moved by a show like this in a while and it was an amazing ride. Please give this show a chance if you have not, it will not disappoint.

I'm a little late with my comment… Damn exams not letting me breathe.
(I'll watch Dead Mount and Isleeve either today or over the week and drop a comment on those as well if not… I'll make my comment on the next episode of those)
But wow… What an episode and a finale to an incredible arc. And it feels like we've come full circle.
Throfinn going back to the place he left all those years ago, wanting to be in the thrill of battle but was consumed with range and hatred after his father died.
To come back now to his sister not recognising him, thinking he's a fraud that was payed by Leif to make them have some hope.
But goddamn did she uppercut him so hard he went unconscious after one hit. Guess Throfinn isn't invincible when taking hits.😂
The family reunion was so nice and it's fantastic to see his mother immediately recognise him and them crying after seeing each other.
I love his mother for being so supportive of his goals. She could've immediately said no and that he should stay here but knowing how his father was and what Throfinn is trying to do now, she realises the same thing that he does.
And that's just brilliant. Loved that moment.
But it feels like this is only the beginning of the story. The first season was the prologue, this season we've dived into the character of Throfinn and saw his change from a rageful boy to a peaceful man who only wants to build a paradise where there are no wars and slaves. A place where everyone can go to and live a peaceful life.
I cannot wait for S3 and seeing that the manga is nearing it's completion. We will hopefully get a full adaptation of this and the staff is making sure we get a high quality faithful adaptation.
10/10 season and let's hope we're all here for the next one 🙏
This season was incredible. Peak anime for sure, 10/10. The only downside is that we now have to wait for more but understandably so. Watching Thorfinn’s journey is not only amazing but inspiring. He was someone who learned to change from a naive boy, to a vengeful hateful teenager, to a sad broken man who was looking for redemption, to now someone who’s at least found the road to it. Can’t wait for season 3, this is hands down one of my favorite anime of all time.
the character development for thorfinn is just so touching. thors will be so proud had he lived, damn spectacular series. i hope to keep watching until the final season, please god. its a masterpiece. now just have to refrain frm reading the manga 😅
