Don't worry about being confused it's kinda part of the games plot EVERYTHING is a mystery also the name nier If I remember right is the default name of the protagonist of the first game because this is a sequel set like 2000 years later
Also it's pronounced like near
2b is mikasa va and director when he heard her was willing to spend all of the money for va just to hire her for the game
The Music really reminds me of 90's mecha anime and cyberpunk shows like ghost in the shell, damn now that is classic that will never get old.
Don't worry the anime will adapt the game one to one.
And the game despite being technically a sequel can be enjoyed as a standalone title but knowing the lore can enhance the experience.
nier and nier automata ost are legendary among videogame fans, the ystill have massive orchestral concerts for nier series years after games have been out. Story will ramp up fast
The fact that this story is set in the year, like, 13000's was mind blowing to me when I first played the game.
On the first game in you are in apocalyptic snowing-in-summer of a 2030ish tokyo IIRC, a father and daughter being attacked by shadowy creatures, a pact is made with a magical book and the father gets powers to fight. His daughter also seemingly makes a pact to get them food (a cookie) when a sickness of scrawling black letters covers her body. The father screams desperately for help as the camera pans out to show an utterly empty, silent and destroyed tokyo. The cutscene time skips to the year fucking 11000 and the world is back to the medieval age and humanity is on the brink of a slow, melancholic extinction in their tiny pocketed villages. The same father and daughter, apparently with no recollection of the events of 2030, with some shadowy creatures becoming stronger by the day and the daughter being sick, the father goes on a mission to seek a cure for her and to protect her until the end.
Imagine my shock when the second game is all about robots. ESPECIALLY given the ending of the first Nier game… All this to say that at the time, it also made no sense. Some of the point of this adventure is to go along with it, I wouldnt worry much about missing out detail because you havent played the game. Everyone had the same experience
If you do, one day, decide to know more about Nier, especially the first game, I recommend the SuperBestFriends playthrough with Liam and Pat. Liam is knowledgeable and Pat is blind. That
I get the impression that the CGI heavy sections are done in such a way as to look like the game, especially the opening part and the hacking part.
I don't know the games and I really really hope there will be some sort of explanation what is going on in the next few episodes.
"Why is she fighting in a dress?" 🤣🤣
Don't worry about the confusion it will be piece together later and the decision to watch it or not is totally up to you but if this is anything like the game you're facing one of best story in anime.
If you think about it, our main characters looks like they are part of Gojo’s (From Jujutsu kaisen) family 😂
The last part when they use the black box reaction, both 2B and 9S died there. But just like how we back up our save data or phone data etc, 9S backed up 2B’s data back at the bunker (which is in space). Having another body in the bunker 2B was alive with all her memories intact. But for 9S because he could it back up his, he does not remember meeting 2B.
Btw 9S voice actor is the same as Tanjiro from Demon slayer
I watched it as well and it is not for me. That doesn't mean it is not a good show, I just did not like it.
React bochi the rock please
Konnichiwa. You're in for a treat my friend. Since I watch your aot reaction videos, I just wanna inform you that these 2 characters you've just watched are the voice actors of MIKASA & FALCO.
If you are confused don't worry. The game itself has 26 endings with 5 being the "main endings" 💀. Since I've completed the game I'm pretty hyped for future episodes. Loved how they are using the game's soundtrack for the anime 👌
Company: " I want to sell an Anime but all I have is gameplay footage and cut scenes…"
Consumers: " That is the stupidest idea."
Company: " We have a hot android waifu and husbando"
Customers: "shut up and take my money"
…… that about sums up development for this show. 🤔
Judging from the Ep2, the story will be told from… broader point of view? In the game you get a lot of info from talking to NPC and doing the side quests. The anime will have to pack all that into consequential narrative.
It's supposed to be confusing at first nothing to worry about
Yoko Taro reasoning for 2B in a skirt and heels: "I just like girls." 🤣
