So happy to see you come to this stage of the franchise! This is the third studio, J. C. Staff, on action. And I am not gonna sugarcoat anything, don't expect great visuals and animation. Even the poster looks underwhelming compared to the prior seasons.
Talking about anime-only content, well I don't recall the hot pot segment happening at all. Instead there was something more meaningful. Miku's ongoing redemption: she apologized to the spirits. There was also an interview with Kotori where she tried to recall the Phantom.
Natsumi is one of the more complex spirits and she has pride in her ability to observe the behavioral traits of people. Her tactics to "destroy" somebody actually is a reflection of her character. She has three whole leitmotifs, and I love the Halloween inspired themes (this arc happens during that time).
All being said, "I Swear" is my favorite DAL opening song. It's lyrics actually portray the upcoming plot later in this season.
If Shido wasn't such a well regarded and respected person, maybe his life would have been ruined there…
