Miri being such a good kid is wonderful to see, especially considering her biological parents were quite the opposite. In the future, she'll probably be the mom friend of her social circle. It also didn't come out of left field since it's a common occurrence for kids to act differently at school than at home. She's a loveable little gremlin with her dads and more toned down with everyone else.
As for Karin, it seems like she survived whatever accident happened in the past but most likely had a miscarriage. Her showing up now after so long and refusing Kazuki's compensation money may be because she's finally in a better place physically and mentally. She may even want to get back together with Kazuki which will leave him conflicted about whether to go back with her or stay with the new family he's built with Rei and Miri.
What a lovely episode. My favorite moment was when we saw teenage Miri. I love her acting like your typical bad girl teenager. And now after seeing her as a grown up I want more of it! Then we see our boy Kazuki fails to be a good father. As he tries to make Miri confess, and talk to him. The big mistake that he did was trying to force that conversation. By holding her head to look her in the eyes. Then saying that she can not judge between right and wrong alone. Which is a bit of red flags, when it comes to patenting as he didn’t trust her. But luckily he realized that he should trust her more in the future. Especially as she seemed to have pretty good judgement as seen in this episode when he did stalk her. As Miri did held the group together when they where lost in the zoo. My second favorite moment was when Miri did brag about how great her father Rei was at Mario kart. And Rei just had such a smug expression looking at Kazuki. As he now was her favorite parent, when he gaming skills also did finally pay off. After this episode I think that Rei is my favorite parent of the two now. Then the shoplifter got easily away as I thought that Rei and Kazuki would kill him. For how he did aim a gun at their daughter.
Btw that post credit scene was very interesting as I want to know who she really is

If this episode showed one thing, it's that Kazuki needs professional help, because those in his head scenarios were too much. 🤣
This was a pretty wholesome episode. Miri definitely knows right from wrong. At first when Taiga said he was going to the see the Lions, I was thinking he's gonna get stuck in the Lion's Den and need rescuing. So glad it didn't go that way. It was nice seeing the kids eventually get along. So satisfied that scumbag got beaten and embarrased by Kazuki & Rei.
As for Karen, I think the main family probably wants nothing to do w/ the money from Kazuki after all this time. However a greedy family member finds out about it and goes to the cafe to take the attonement money for themselves.

Rei's smug "Our daughter loves me more" smile. Although about Karin, I don't think she's actually Kazuki's wife. Karin had a mole and Kazuki's wife didn't seem to. I could be wrong.
the writers are all parents and they are showing their inner fears about their kids futures. i'm loving this show more each week. Miri standing stone faced while a gun is pointed at her, sure we see it a toy gun, but still that's a boss move. PA Works is just producing that high quality anime. bravo to that whole staff
Pyon is bunny version of nyan lol. Lol the Paca at the end of sentences was hilarious lol. And it’s Morio Kart not Mario Kart lol. Games help people. There is a woman named Yuzu in the credits related to Kazuki so that’s maybe the wife unless it’s his sister. Karin doesn’t seem credited yet although maybe she’s related to someone else. It’s good to see them grow as parents. Wonder if Karin is related to their boss. Doesn’t feel like the wife. The convict was the convenience store robber they mentioned in passing in the background. Also older rebel Miri was funny to see although have to always worry how kids turn out
