Farmland is peak Vinalnd
Harold is Canute's older brother, the current king of Denmark, which is where Ketil's farm is, nothing has happened to him nor will as far as we know. All the Canute stuff happened back in England. Since we've gone back in time to summer/fall of 1015 to catch back up with the boys on the farm, most of that hasn't even happened yet anyway, and it wont affect anyone here much when it does.
harald is still alive.. he is the king of denmark and canute's brother.. the one who died last episode was ethereld.. former king of england.. and now canute is on that position
I really like the fact that Sverkel is very clearly cooking enough food for four people when we make it back to his house. That old man knows exactly what he's up to, you'll just never get him to admit that he's being nice to someone.
I don't know if anyone told you guys already, but there's a super short bit of animation that MAPPA dropped on their youtube channel as a "ep 6.5" and it lets us watch another of Thorfinn's nightmare sequences. I think it gives a pretty good look at what it is that Thorfinn's mind is working on lately since he's started to learn to farm if you read into it a little bit.
They nailed this episode it gave me the exact same feels I got when reading these chapters, best episode without a doubt 6 – 9 are gonna be phenomenal.

Yeah the show doesn't do a great job of explaining when this episode takes place compared to the farm. Lola is right that part of it is a flash forward

• Summer 1015 : Canute makes a deal with Earl Eadric of Mercia to get rid of Ethelred (S2E5)
• Fall 1015: Episode 6 will take place here
• April 1016 : Ethelred II dies of "illness" (S2E5)
• November 1016 : Ethered's son and successor, Edmund Ironside, dies of "illness" (S2E5)
• 1018 : Canute is officially crowned King of England (S2E5)
