Really crazy good episode. I knew Thorgil is good but that was just shocking. Must’ve trained for decades to get that far. As for Olmar I feel bad for him. Poor guy. Now Canute is making his way to the farm which is scary honestly. Looking forward to the next episode. Loving this season so much. X3
You put a real good question and to bounce off that, is Thorfinn gonna be able to step over his ultimatum and atk the guards that are gonna come if it comes down to maybe protect Leif or Einar? Are ppl gonna call him a hypocrite ? Does meeting Thorfinn gonna change something in Canute , hopefully for the better or is it just gonna be just an obstacle in his way to his "dream" ?
Thorgil is a savage! That guy who flicks coins seems really interesting and I hope Thorfin is reunited with the old man.
It will always be a conundrum when it comes down to this.
Which method is more appropriate in any given situation.
is is, "The needs of the many, outweighs the needs of the few, or the one?"
or is it "Start from the bottom and work your way up?"
Yes both Canute and Thorfin when through very tumultuous childhoods during season 1,
however, when you have one individual causing death and destruction without a thought other than revenge,
and another individual being forced to observe death and destruction, thinking to himself, "What can I cook next?",
and now the roles slowly start to switch with each other, then we have problems.
Now you have one individual that wants to create a utopia where there is no death and destruction, while creating that peaceful harmony,
while the other individual wants to achieve that utopia where he believes that "The ends justifies the means", and is willing to achieve it at all costs.
Now we have a situation where Canute's plan didn't go as accordingly as it should, however, it still worked, and
now has an excuse to take over then farmland, just to support his operational needs,
while the survivors of the so called "king's plan", is scrambling to get back home and secure the family's land,
before it gets overwhelmed by the king's small army.
What I'm most curious about is what is going to happen to Thorfin, once the raid at the farmland begins?
Also if Thorfin is going to convince Floki to help defend the farmland with him or not?
Enquiring minds want to really know???

Yeah… Thorfinn looking at the sunset definitely tells him that something is coming. A warrior knows when trouble is coming and Kanute is definitely bring a force to his doorstep.
Thorgil is definitely a menace and he could probably take around 30 of them by himself as he demonstrated here. But it's so screwed up how they were mocking poor Olmar. I mean yes, if he didn't do what he did and actually kept his mouth shut, this never would've happened and his father wouldn't feel like the whole world is laughing at him for having a disappointment and embarrassment as his son.
Olmar should stick to doing farm work and let Thorgil handle the fighting.
After he killed the guy, he looked like young Throfinn from S1 looking at the body.
Good to see Leif Ericson helping them get out of trouble and taking them to the farm where hopefully he actually finds Thorfinn this time.
But yeah that guy with the coins is dangerous.

The precision and technique you need to do get enough power to do that is astonishing.
Another great episode… I'm happy this is a 24 episode season and that we have more Vinland for next season too. Honestly can't wait for future episodes and I will miss this opening as it is one of the best in terms of song and visuals but I hope the next one will be just as great.

I don't understand how the author makes me care so much about some prideful fool and a bloodthirsty maniac that I hated a few episodes ago for enjoying the punishment of poor little kids. He's a wizard!
