“The Phantom of the Opera” had its final performance April 16, after 35 years on Broadway. Playbill was there to capture the curtain call of the event, which included speeches from producer Cameron Mackintosh and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. The curtain call ended with everyone on stage singing “Music of the Night,” as photos of former actors that played the Phantom and Christine were projected on stage.

We attended the show at the Majestic about 10 years ago, it was beyond fantastic, a memory we will never forget.
No mention of Michael Crawford or Steve Barton😲I’m sorry but that’s just unforgivable and shocking. Those 2 men put in just as much work into their roles as Sarah Brightman did and they deserve better!
This is the most supreme form of insincerity and shameless hypocrisy on the part of Cameron Mackintosh. Here he is heaping praise on a wonderful cast that he just fired because of the need for profit and a need to revamp to a cheaper watered down version as in the West End. He should have skipped the final night and given the night to the wonderful cast of the Phantom and its audience.
best musical ever, period!
And Ramin Karimloo?
😭😭😭
If i knew phantom of the opera was performed i would of booked. Just to see the performance. I jush found out, about the last performance through the news this morning. Hope they perform in the future.

Thank you for the music.
I never miss an opportunity to shout out my favorite Phantom, Franc D'Ambrosio. To me, he was the greatest. All those years in San Francisco, but all the love goes to Broadway.
Where was the original, Michael Crawford?
The dedication to Andrew's son has me bawling like a baby. That was beautiful
My late mother absolutely loved Phantom and my sister and I would listen to the Sarah Brightman version as little kids. I was able to see this masterpiece on Broadway and definitely made me feel like my mom was right next to me ❤
Everyone singing Music of the Night towards the end had me sobbing.
It's only the beginning while Phantom debuts in China for a whole new audience.
Bring the phantom back to Broadway
the silence for James Barbour 💀
