The reason why they didnt show Leif and Thorfinn reuniting was because the author felt it would've taken the moment away from the Ketil and Arnheid scene

Not gonna lie i am more mad at the situation that i am at Ketil. It could've been fine for everyone including Ketil and Arnheid but shit went sideways and that created this tragedy.

yeah know what's funny about this, ketil father which who is the same person who told Arnheid to say hey, go ahead and free yo man before you regret it. and after all the shit Ketil been through at this point I am not even surprised this man has snapped, dude was losing everything all in one go.
Let's not forget Arnheid would've been fine if she hadn't gone to her imprisoned husband, the fact that she did resulted more folks dying and which where snake almost died. there was alot of shit to unpack from all the turn of events to where this was just the start interesting turn of events.

man i love vinland tho, the plot, the story the characters… they're so well written… this episode showed that everybody has a breaking point… even the nicest and kindest people[like Ketil] …. if they're pushed past that point theres no telling what they're capable of doing… all logic and reason just goes out the fkin window and there's no line they wont cross…
Ketil who was already in a very fragile mental state just wanted to go back to his farm and recover mentally by talking to arnheid.. and when he found out that even she tried to escape, he was pushed past his breaking point…
I love the discussions and super different opinions people have on this, just shows why this is the greatest written Arc of all time. Vinland forever be my Nr1.

I feel so bad for Arnheid. No matter what happens, she doesn't have a choice. The only thing she can do is get swept up in all the chaos. Life really sucked for women and children in this age. Your husband dies or goes missing, you either get raped and killed or raped and sold. You get separated from your parents and either survive by tenacity and luck or get killed for entertainment by soldiers and mercenaries. The horrible thing is all this is still going on in the Middle East.
Bruh. When I read this chapter I already knew I wouldn’t be able to handle the actual animation. That scene between Ketil and Arnheid was tooo much.
I'm watching this reaction at half volume because I know for sure Lax is gonna get loud. This episode was just literally brutal.
