It’s the trust with Roald as well. His whole band are essentially fugitive war criminals and that’s why they take fake names and he’s basically entrusting his past and identity to Einar and Thorfinn because he knows they’re going to a peaceful world and he trusts them implicitly.
Such a good season. Unmatched.

Man reading the manga for this was just as beautiful as this episode. I know alot of people who quit the story because they just wanted more viking action. I feel sorry for them that they can't appreciate what a beautiful story this has become.

Little lookd over detail, Thorfin is wearing the same clothes he wore when his father first told him he had no enemies. Its a sign of his story and belifes coming full circle.

season 3 is gonna be lit. Thorfinn going through the path of the true warrior is actually much harder plus he would face the most dangerous opponents he had encountered while keeping his oath. yes, more dangerous than Thorkell or Askeladd. This is gonna be exciting to see animated.

Another detail is that in episode 1 of this season, the “carve it” poem is spoken in Icelandic using the word for “cut” but written and translated with the kanji for CARVE, as in carving flesh. In episode 23, it is still read as “cut it into your flesh, cut it into the land” but they use the kanji for ENGRAVE to symbolize Thorfinns growth from a carver, a force of destruction, a “warrior”, to an engraver, someone trying to add something beautiful to the world… as his father Thors would say, a “true warrior.”

Imagine bro, someone's trying fight you and you don't hit him back and just run away.
That's so powerful bro. When everyone would fight back, you run away to not hurt the man in front of you. That's honorable.
When everyone's drinking whiskey and bourbon, you sit there and drink water.
When everyone gets tired of carrying the boats and give into their emotions . You carry the boat alone. You are tired too. But you wouldn't let yourself be controlled by your feelings.
That part where is said “Such a beautiful man” even though Thorfinn loooed like a walking dead 😂💔. The heart conveys more than our outward appearance. Look beyond race, color or religion, we are humans.
The bravest man is he who knows he can win a fight but chooses not to fight back ❤. Such a strong character development. Goosebumps all over
Canute goal is to create paradise here on earth. But with his method, there is some hole left unfilled. Thorfinn goal is to create a peaceful land, filling those hole. Canute see Thorfinn as his ally because even though their method differ, Thorfinn is essential to achieve Canute dream.
