MAPPA’s Vinland Saga Season 2 just started airing, adapting the Farmland Saga/Slave Arc. But what will anime watchers, especially those new to Vinland Saga, think about the show and Thorfinn? This video covers what fans and anime watchers need to know before starting Season 2.

How do you guys feel about Vinland Saga’s Slave Arc? Are you worried anime fans won’t like it?? Lmk in the comments
true
mid (my parents left me)
MAPPA ain''t never fumble no bag season 2 gonna be fire!
I watched ep 1 of s2 and i thought "wtf is 1/6 of a chapter, is slower than op"
Can’t wait for complete season 2 to binge this.. the only Farm arc I knew is Vagabond’s and that was good.
Midland Saga
nice video man, i watched s2 first episode and thought it wasnt that good but surely its gonna get better if yall hype it up that much
1:29 Honestly Midland Saga would just be the Golden Age arc of Berserk since it takes place in Midland, which is also peak, so it’s an L for the haters either way lmao
I am glad that I am not the only one who just likes a good character development. I love hearing character's inner monologue, their desire to change, to fix something.
true.
"dont watch vinland saga s2 until you see this…" u shoulda posted this video 2 days earlier buddy, i watched it already and started reading the manga
Imagine seeing Demon slayer pfp weebs to make a normal good comment on seinen pacing
🌚🌚
Bro doesn't even know anything other than hype in regards to storytelling 😭
its garbage compared to berzerk sad these new gen people dont know the greatest manga ever
Kids watching anime: battle, pure fighting choreography 🥵, He's the strongest so this anime is the best. He's cold cool like gojo, kakashi, itachi. Midland Saga, Farmland Saga. Boring.
Men watching anime: Ideology, Principles, Different perspective in life, Politics, Character development at its finest.
Bro your editing is peak
ep 1 is so perfect
Been seeing the slander for Vinland Saga. People be hating and calling it garbage. I've seen bad Manga and Anime, Vinland saga ain't one of em. Vinland Saga is pretty damn good. I'll be damned if they be trying to drag Vinland Saga's name in the dirt . Idk why so many hating . Vinland Saga is not garbage period .
Also for some reason some people be calling Vinland Saga a Beserk wannabee just because it's put up there alongside Beserk and Vagabond. Which btw I love Beserk and Vagabond. Vinland Saga is it's own thing. Vinland Saga ain't trying to be like Beserk. Vinland Saga's story is just well written. That's why it's put up there. Beserk and Vagabond are great because of their writing, story and character development. People just misunderstanding . Frustrating but it is what it is.
People can stay mad. I'm still going to support and watch it on Netflix so that money can support the Anime of Vinland Saga. And I'm going to get the rest of the Manga too. I only have the first four volumes at the moment. Hope to get all of Beserk, Vagabond, Vinland Saga and Kingdom on my shelve. I want to expand my Manga collection.
Haters be hating
character development=mid 🤓🤓🥶🥶
Most battle shounen mangas sacrifice characters for the plot and fights while seinen focuses more on people and humanity. They are hard to read, but they have rewatch value.
it’s the exact same staff working on season 1 that moved to MAPPA pretty much. And those who hate it for lack of action or revenge need to go through their own character arc to understand the story. It’s kind of like how some people call anything not action or is slow or slice of life as filler although there should still be a strong manga fan base supporting it and many people that understand the story themes and characters well
I didn't touch the Manga when I finished the S1 back in 2020 but I did knew that where the S1 ended we might get a Time Skip. When I 1st see new OP, I thought it's one heck of masterpiece but tone is soft instead of aggressive, this was the best indicator that the arc might not be based on action but something else. Then Einar's family getting clapped infront of him left me in utter awesomeness of the ep. When the ep ended I did get the feeling that something good is about to happen.
Now, as CSM ended it's airing, I got another masterpiece on Tuesdays 😂.
It was always a character driven show for me so let the characters carry it
I didn’t read the bang but one of the most impressive things about Vinland in season 1 were the characters so personally I m hyped that we are gonna see a whole season of development that most other series lack
Somewhat of a spoiler. . .
the author actually stated in a QnA that he noticed that almost every, if not all action manga has the main character pretty much just using violence to achieve victory so he thought to himself what if he wrote a story where the main character actually tries to solve a conflicts without having to resort to using violence. And that's pretty much where the story of Vinland comes from.
I disagree. If anyone is here only to see Thorfinn hack and slash, then watch s2. You need to learn what a proper series looks like as a punishment for having such thoughts.
Fuck that s2 is boring as hell compare to 1 and very dissapointing
A way I like to compare Battle Shounen and Vinland Saga after the Prologue.
Most battle Shounen have a story built around the fights with the fights in the focus. That's what most people like to see because it's an easy to watch entertainment.
Vinland Saga on the other side has fights built around the Story and Character development but still with a heavy focus on story telling and character development.
This is an less easy to enjoy entertainment because you actually have to think about what's happening to fully understand it.
